Confused for a soon to be newb

I'm in the process of growing my first batch. I am getting excited to trip for the first time. I actually did salvia once so it will be my second time tripping . First time for shrooms though. I'm reading through trip reports to get a feel of what's going to happen and to be honest there all about anxiety, panic attacks, and thoughts of dyeing. Is tripping so great that it's worth it to have those feelings and still want to do it again ? Is this the majority of how it's going to be ? is there anyone that just has a positive experience? Personally I seen someone on shrooms once and all she did was laugh almost hysterical most of the night. He next day she said her stomach hurt so bad and we attributed that to all the laughter. Anyhow any thought or responses will be read and appreciated

It's all about set and setting... Just make sure you are in a good comfortable place where you won't have to worry about anything. They are a very intense mental trip which is why people tend to have some of the thoughts you are talking about but sometimes they can just be just all fun and laughter. It really depends on the batch. But also, people tend to only write trips that are very intense or bad trips... It's not really fun to read that someone had a great time and just laughed with their friends... Just my 2cents

You should go to erowid.com and read trip reports from all the categories: Good trips, blessed experiences, difficult trips, bad trips, etc.. Read about the good, the bad and the ugly.
I would say that a lot of the negative effects could be avoided if a person were to make tea and shun like the plague ingesting any mushrom tissue. Make tea and STRAIN OUT ALL MUSHROOM MATERIAL after the extraction. Seriously study teks on making tea.

Makes sense. Kind of like a restaurant review. If someone has a great meal, they go home full and happy. If someone had a bad meal they want to go home and write a bad review on trip advisor or yelp to try and hurt the business and make themselves feel better.

Why do you recommend this? I nevre have stomach issues from mushrooms. Are you saying this is to prevent stomach sickness or other negative effects?

I have never had a thought of dying, or any of this anxiety crap...no sickness...nothing but glowing experiences, and I dose hard af compared to most... I just don't understand how someone can have a bad trip unless some bad set of events actually manifests...cops show up or whatever...maybe it's just me.

Yes, to avoid nausea and thus to avoid the negative effects that inevitably go along with it. You may not get nauseous, but probably have felt the body loaded sense that goes with eating mush tissue. This body loaded feeling seems,in my esperience, to herald a bad trip, or an intolerable, at least a very bad, stretch in an otherwise enjoyable undertaking.
It is true that bad trips and intolerable stretches are learning experiences and not to be despised--but IMHO they are not to be unnecessarily courted either.

you can just try having a low dosage trip, feel happy, music is nice, colors are bright and everything is intriguing. it'll also give you a nice feel for shrooms so your more prepared for a higher dosed trip and put you in a great mood for the rest of the day
