Pine Nut Substrate

So I got some free pine nuts. Like 250 pounds of them...
The guy said they were for livestock feed but the pigs wouldn't eat them! He got them for free so I think everyone is confused... I am at the least, since they are expensive.
10 huge cans packed with them, and so after learning about pine nut syndrome, I am hesitant to eat big piles of them (although I will definitely try soon enough, impoverished vegetarian that I am)
I hear they are acidic and have high nitrogen content. I usually use coffee soaked wbs for cubensis, but I'd love to use a few of these cans.
Thoughts?

You mean spawn, not substrate. Idk it they'd work. I don't see why not, though getting them to hold moisture will be tricky. Most expensive spawn in the world. I would just add em to your salad for the next 6 months if i were you.

I would try any way I could think of to utilize those! Worst thing that could happen is you waste some of them. Ideas that come to mind:
- "Grain" spawn
- PNF cakes
- mixing it into your substrate to save money
- transfer jars or sub-strain isolation if they at least colonize
- prank a friend

Lol...mixing pine nuts into your sub would instantly increase its dollar value...roast them and eat em...you have enough there to sell them and buy a couple new AA's

I'm just saying he got them for free! I think the only way price matters is if BehindMyMind sells them, somehow feels unethical. Eating them isn't a bad option, especially for vegetarians whom need other sources of protein!

Well I'm just saying i could use them for spawn. And tripdawg420 could too. But if homeboy is asking, i promise he'll turn em to mush trying to get the moisture content right. So eating them is better than ruining them. That would be unethical.

That's what Im saying man grain for spawn is so cheap I wouldn't bother wasting any time on these, might perform poorly and waste a grow

If they are using something that expensive for pig food there is probably something wrong with them. On top of that the pigs won't eat them.

I recommend Pesto Tek.
--------------------
I spawned some popcorn casings and had double-overlay cause I didn't put enough hydrogen peroxide in my automated aquarium mister. I only got one mushroom so I cut off the head part where the seeds fall from and put it in a jar of LC and sprayed it all over a tin of PF cakes I made with gravel, cardboard, and bisquick in my microwave. I think it will be good cause B+ is so potent. Triggered yet? Only a square would say "a cube is a cube."
No, this does not look right...
