Could use some reassurance. (P. cyanescens)
    #22420478 - 10/22/15 09:39 PM (8 years, 3 months ago)

Habitat:
Edge of woodchip bed and turf on Queen Anne Hill, WA
I feel foolish for not taking more photos of the fresh specimens, I think I was just shocked to come upon them by accident. After a field trip for my fall plant ID class, I walked to a bus stop and decided to take a rest at a wooded area near by. I picked a spot when I saw a small bright red mushroom. A moment after sitting down to catch my breath, I turned to look around and to my surprise I saw these small amber to tan colored caps...and noticed many had blueish coloring along the wavy margins. I promptly picked one for closer look. My mind started to race as I have gone looking for similar mushrooms before to avail.

Here are the images I have, any help in verifying my current ID would be appreciated.

Next time bring a small set of scissors, or small key chain knife and cut the stem at ground level, this way you wont disturb the mycelium.

Nice find.

Oh! I will make that best practice from now on. I have a few small pruning scissors for my regular plant care, herb clippings, etc. It will be a tool of hunting equipment too! Thank you for the advice. ^_^
