Best obscure SNES RPG?

Obviously FF games, Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana and the like are off limits here. Star Ocean and Tales of Phantasia too, I suppose, since they've become kind of legendary despite initial releases only in Japan.
I'd say Live a Live cause it's insanely complicated without being boring and is broken into separate stories without just being a bunch of unrelated games.
What else are we guyses liking? Bahamut Lagoon? Emerald Dragon? Terranigma? SoM 2? Arabian Nights?
Maybe these are so obscure no one has ever even heard of the fuckers, but I'm sure you guys have your opinions. I never played any Breath of Fire games, but they're not really obscure.
Pointless, manic thread I guess, but yeah.

Robo tech . Is pretty good.
Emerald dragon is awesome.
Lufia 2 is sweet. Longer game too. The first it's bad either.
Birth of fire 1&2 I played the shit out of. Final Fantasy mystic quest is underrated.

Most people will have heard about it but not played it. I'm pretty sure it sold like shit at the time and built up an insane cult following over the years. Robotrek does actually look really good, and I always forget it exists.
There's just too many RPGs on that system to ever properly play all of them. I don't get how the background in the fights in Earthbound didn't trigger epileptic fits or send kids blind.

Saturday Night Slam Masters is fun, but not an RPG. The OG Breath of Fire is Good, but not obscure. Lufia was terrible. Lufia 2 not as bad. Did anyone mention Secret of Evermore? Not all that obscure i suppose, but still, perhaps one of the best RPGs made for SNES IMO.

Illusion of Gaia hands down
Awesome story that made you feel it wasn't overly sentimental like other jrpg's try to be nowadays with their next top model characters and anime eyes and the action and puzzles were quick and fast might be one of the best top down games ever basically Zelda but more epic and less minigames really can't get a better story then that game with out going into some serious jrpg's

Quintet games (Illusion of Gaia, Terranigma, Soul Blazer)
and Live a Live is a good choice too. AND Star Ocean.

shiren for snes. or "Fushigi no Dungeon 2 - Fuurai no Shiren" (Japan) its really a rogue-like... but has rpg elements. way obscure, difficult and dope as fuck. There is a de-jap (english translation) floating around, as it was never released in the US. Highly recommend.
