I thought it was a great film, not quite the same as the old ones. The dope part was the concept. It's a viable situation, fighting for gas and clean water. Yes they had to turn around to take back a kingdom and overthrow evil. Plus CGI was admirable.

Except there all a bunch of wildmen living in a complete wasteland and the one relic of society they manage to hold onto is vehicles. Something that requires a ton of intelligent people and infrastructure to maintain, yet these fucks are drinking their own milk. That pissed me off the entire movie

You don't have to kill a plant to consume from it. A tomato plant doesn't die if you eat a tomato from it, for example. To that end, a lot of plant spread their seed via being eaten by herbivores and passing through the digestive system, so from a biological perspective eating some plants is what they want. And last but partially tied to the last point, all living things live to procreate. The seeds of harvested plants are used to sow new crops so a plant is grown to its fullest potential and spreads its seed to complete its cycle of life; it is given everything it could possibly want in its life start to finish. So eating plants isn't comparable to eating meat.

Dude but the cars were all real. Most of the vehicles were pre 2000's many even older then that. The older the vehicle the easier it is to fix.
Ive done engine work on mid 2000's (chevy ford jeep) you can still work on some parts.
My uncles truck 82 ford ranger had 600k before he offed himself in it. Did all the work himself. Once you understand basic machinists its not that hard.
Old cars only need 3 things fuel spark and air.
I dont think ive owned a car that has ever had less then 100k on it. My wife did till I totaled it......

Mad max was such a dumb movie. It was like ten minutes of setup and then a two hour car chase, and half of that was literally just them turning around and going back.
it wasn't nearly as bad as that, the problem was how stupid and unclimaxful it was when they got to where they were going, that and there was hardly any dialogue and the stuff they did have was pretty bad. it should have been a much better movie, 2 decades and they slapped the shit together in 5 minutes
