Birthing a cake that is not fully colonized - PF Tek

I am doing my first grow. I used 2 different batches of substrate. One batch considerably wetter than the other.
One of the batches is fully colonized and I will be birthing soon. Yay.
The other batch is way too wet. It is colonizing, but the mycelium can't seem to penetrate through the wet / dense parts of the jar. It's only colonizing where there are tiny air pockets.
I am seeking advice on what to do about this second batch. Should I continue to wait for these puppies to fully colonize? No contams so far.
Or, is there a I can birth these without them fully colonized?
Or, is there a way I can bulk grow these partially colonized BRF cakes?

I would let them keep going as long as they are not completely stalled, outline the myc on the outside of the jar to see progress. If they completely stall you could birth them and remove all uncolonized parts.

If they do stall, make sure you remove ALL the uncolonized BRF or they will contaminate.
