Sorry for the poor details, but these photos were sent from a friend via text, at first glance they look like Gymnopilus junonius, but not 100% sure because I have never found any before. Found growing on a stump on Vancouver Island, BC

I was thinking possibly G. ventricosus, but I have read that it general has hugely ventricose (thickened in the middle) stipe. These do not seem to have the same bulging middle stipe, here is an example of what I am talking about.

Can I get a TI to confirm?

Heres a few gyms my dad found in north west Washington, they were id as ventricosus even with the bulge at the base not the center of the stipe.

That's why they'd be my guess, but never know they might not even be gyms...
Wait for the TI but they're gonna want better pics and spore print for conclusive decision.

Thanks man, I know the potato quality pics and no extra info makes it pretty hard to make an ID.
