The first one is a Ferocactus and the other is Echinocactus grusonii.

Thanks man! I've been wondering for the past couple years but never really thought to ask or look it up till now.
I wanna ask the campus grounds keepers if i can take a seed pod from the ferocactus if it fruits. Are they self fertile? I'm not sure if there's another on campus or not

I think that the Ferocactus is NOT self fertile. Information on this is hard to come by, and even then unreliable, some species that I have read are not self fertile I have found to be self fertile, and vice versa. It has obviously flowered, but I doubt you will find any seed. I had one for several years that looked just like that one - can´t remember the species now though - I gave it away eventually, it grew too large. But it flowered every year, never got any seed though.

Ya it has definitely flowered a couple times since I have been going there. There may be another on campus, I live in texas so cacti are like their go-to ornamental around here
Thanks for your responses by the way, guys! I love the pictures you two post! What about the Echinocactus?

I think some Ferocactus might be self fertile. I just got one that had plenty of seed pods on it. I didn't see any others around so I'd be surprised if a pollinator caused that many seed pods to start.

Echinocactus grusonii is a commonly grown, easily available, large barrel cactus. Quite fast growing, it can reach a yard across in a couple of decades. Will readily flower in good sun at 14" or so. Glad you like the pics.

#3 is a Gymnocalycium - possibly G. baldianum - as always, some flowers would help.

You know I knew the spines were a bit off but I was just thinking it might have been the lighting or something.
You are completely right though. I've just never owned that plant so I didn't really have anything to go by there, I just knew it had some similar features to my Rebutia minuscula var. marsoneri

You know I was thinking it was a Gym but it just looked a good bit different from my 2 baldianums and I didn't know for sure so I skipped it.
I'm pretty positive on the others though
