Only 1 pin on BRF cake

Hey guys, I have been a long time lurker on this forum. Helped me alot with my first grow.
My problem with this grow is that my BRF cake is only sprouting 1 pin. Its a big one, but unfortunately only 1. I have 2 cakes in my SGFC, one has been dunked and rolled (no pins) the other has only been birthed then placed straight in (has 1 pin on it).
Its been about 1.5 weeks so far. My question is how come I am not getting more pins if one of my cakes has already started to pin and they were both birthed at the same time.
When I put the cakes in the SGFC they got some perlite on them, do you guys think that this could inhibit the pinning? Or am I not waiting long enough?
Sincerely, Jerkypall

Could have been an early bird and the substrate wasn't fully colonized yet. My first mushroom grow ever was a single massive mushroom, but it was a wise, potent adventurer. Wish I had agar back then. Or now for that matter.

Hello jerkypall.
Just keep fruiting them.
"My question is how come I am not getting more pins if one of my cakes has already started to pin and they were both birthed at the same time"
Because those 2 cakes have different strains, they may fruit at different rates. Just keep it up dude, fruiting can take longer than 1.5 week.

Tedious wait, though teaches you the value of patience.

I had this problem my first time doing BRF cakes. Yes, just wait you should have more pins popping up over time if you have a working terrarium. Next batch let your jars colonize for longer; the centre of your cakes may not be fully colonized yet.

Thanks guys. The one fruit body I have is getting pretty big, the cap is making no move to burst just yet. I just wish I could get the rest to fruit, I hate waiting. Makes me think Im messing it up.
My setup is SGFC with a bubble stone humidifier and perlite to keep humidity. I fan about 3 times a day, and provide it ample light (its in my kitchen with 3 windows about it). I also have the cakes on a pedestal in the air (read online that CO2 falls and oxygen rises).
I have so much humidity in there that water droplets condense on both the cakes and in the terrarium (walls etc.). There should be plenty of FAE with the SGFC and the bubbler taking effect.
I just don't want to end up with 1 huge ass fruit and 2 dead cakes.
Sincerely, Jerkypall
