I looked the definition of "bug" up and this is literally the first search I got. "An insect of the order Hemiptera (the "true bugs"). (colloquial) Any insect, arachnid, or other terrestrial arthropod that is a pest. These flies are a bother. I'll get some bug spray and kill them."
I thought that was pretty funny. Anyways, did I use the reply button correctly this time?

Bassnectar is seriously talented and makes amazing music. He is one of the most experimental artists ever. He has made rock remixes and made epic remixes of songs like Somarfagel by Wintergarten and his new album Into the Sun is dope. His brand of Bass music, trap, and dubstep are so good. His only competitor(s) in that domain is Zeds Dead.
This is like saying someone is a god at wiping their ass because they don't miss any shit.
This was the only relevant post in the entire thread. There was no reason for anyone to post anything after this.

I've seen him 2x...once in Feb 2011 in Birmingham & on NYE 2014 in Nashville. I started off spinning house music and used to hate Dubstep with a passion. My friends all found this to be weird bc I started off way back when in the DNB scene (and Jungle). Well, long story short, I stopped spinning house and started playing Dubstep. So yeah...Bassnectar just might be god!

Man, I want to talk about something. I just read an article about this kid called Lindsey Stirling who made 6 million dollars last year, playing the dubstep violin. And I checked out a vid on YouTube (over 132 million views), and saw what they mean. It was rubbish, though. Like, holy cow, that was awful. It was just violin stuff whacked over a generic dubstep beat. Who does this appeal to? I can't imagine that concert violin fans are getting much out of it, and do dubstep fans go nuts for the violin like that? Anyway, someone is buying it and a lot of it.
I guess my point is, it's nuts what is happening to dubstep. People can just become a musical freak show and churn out vids to YouTube where they then become literal millionaires. Bassnectar may be making a couple million a year of his live show hustle. Skream never made 6 million a year, and he helped form the freakin genre. This little girl is prancing around to crappy beats and people are throwing mountains of cash at her. I'm pretty confused.
Does anyone here like this stuff? I'd be interested to know why it's so good to so many people. What am I just not understanding here?
Video below for reference.

It's only because she's an adorable little elf girl playing the violin, if it were a dude it wouldn't be such a big deal.

I mean, from the 5 seconds of the video of that ultra-played out song I watched, I determined two things.
I really like glaciers and iceburgs, and she looks potentially* hot.
why people love that song I have no idea.
I'm on the same boat bruh

I think what the appeal of Lindsey Stirling is for people that aren't well versed in the genre or electronic music in general is that she is an example to justify a common argument that, "Electronic music is real music, this girl's playing a real instrument! I've never seen that before, isn't it cool!"
It's misguided I know but so many people have shown me her stuff for that exact purpose, or they think the combination is somehow revolutionary and has never been done before.
