Outdoor Innoculation.

Just a thought. I don't know about where all of you are, but where I am it's fucking cold as hell and there's ice on everything. Would innoculating outside make any difference whatsoever. I seriously doubt there are a lot of molds and bacteria growing out there right now.

your inquiry intrigues me like hell...I wonder....My friend's squirrel's pet ant will do innocs on the back porch while it's -5 here in the northeast if it works with no contams.

i was thinking that might go well if you dont have a pc right now. Cuz my cats best friends pet midget steams his jars.. but there are occasional contams from there.. maybe if he steamed then left them outside for a day.. hmm

Fungal spores and bacterial endospores can withstand very, very cold temperatures. -25F or C will not kill them. Because of the cold, however, there probably fewer spores in the air... so it could conceivably cut down on the contams that ride along on the needle. Still, if you're even slightly careful, you don't get contams that way.

There shouldn't be hardly any spores in the air if there is snow on the ground

you'd still run a high risk of contamination
