Bug's first grow...Successful grow anyway!

Hey guys, Finally, I acheived a successful grow. Some of my early pics got lost because of a memory card problem, but I got the ones that count.
I started with three syringes: GT, AA+, and BHT. I used 4oz jars, pf style, for inoculation, 4 each strain.
The BHT stalled in the jars so i cut off the uncolonized parts and cased with no added bulk sub. The others I spawned to hpoo/c/v/g with a 50/25/25 ratio respectively, with just a little bit of gypsum. I used a 1qt plastic bowl for each strain in a mini-tray style.

I cased with c/v and a little bit of lime powder. I've got a greenhouse type setup in a plastic lined closet. Here's some pics of my 1st flush. 431g fresh.

Looking sweet man!
Carefully with those closet greenhouses. If it isn't kept clean as a hospital you can end up growing some nasty molds in there.

Oh, and the reason I'm using a closet greenhouse is because my house is small and we got a lot if crap. It's the only place I have to grow. I figured the air would be too still for mono's or a sgfc, so I lined it with plastic, put a cool mist in there, and misted with a spray bottle 2-3 times a day to help raise rh.

Looks great. Yeah closet's can really cause a lot of problems, the best you can hope for is that it just molds between the plastic and the walls.
Even if its cluttered you can setup on top of a table or something.

If I took the plastic down, put some shelving in, and kept the cool mist on the bottom, how do you guys think mono's would do in there?

Badly. Mono's are best in an open room. They're their own fruiting chamber. Fae is much more important than humidity..

Ok cool, thanks. So, I'll just have to be vigilant with cleaning. I run a restaraunt, so I'm used to that anyway.

Well folks, I got home from work tonight and saw my GT's and AA+ turning green, so I put them in a bucket and covered with potting soil. However, the BHT, which stalled in the jars, aren't looking contaminated at all, and is fruiting it's second flush quite nicely.
I think I'm going to quit using poo, and just use c/v/g, because the BHT I didn't bulk up any and the other two that contaminated, I did.

The green mold was most likely spawn related, unless you didn't pasturize your poo properly. But the vast majority of green mold is hiding in uour spawn.
Nice pics though!! Love the trays

Possibly, in the spawn.
I pastuerized for 90 mins in a slow cooker on the keep warm setting. Started timing once internal temps reached 140°F, and once it reached 155°, it leveled off and didn't rise anymore.
Thanks

We've had some renovations going on because of a leak under the bathroom: lots of mold. I think the green meanies came from a heavy spore load in the house.
Also, I dunked after the first flush, may have not been the best idea for the trays with hpoo.

I have a terrible spore load too it makes work hard! Your tubs won't likely get infected after spawning though.
That trich will get in somehow in your spawn and it'll hide. The spawn will look smell and act great, G2G will be fine tubs will colonize great, then bam trich after you fruit. Up to fiirst and maybe second flush mold Id say is spawn. After that its different I think
