I went on a trip to the oregon coast in search of some golden chanterelles and was successful. But while I was there I picked some bolete mushrooms and I don't have much experience with them so I was wondering if anyone could help me id. I found them growing all over mostly under firs and they have a partial vail. I'm working on a spore print so I'll get back to you guys on that in the morning.

The bolete is http://www.mushroomexpert.com/suillus_caerulescens.html. It has douglas fir needles stuck to the top.
The chanterelles are Cantharellus subalbidus.

Do suillus always bruise blue in the stem? Because I haven't seen any bluing in them but the ecology is right and they sure do look like suillus caerulescens. So you think the chanterelles are the whites? They are pretty yellow on the tops especially the ones in the top middle and the picture is a little washed out. How do you tell the difference between the white chanterelle and the golden ones? I guess I've only ever found the whites.

No, most species of Suillus do not bruise. The one you found does, but it's faint and easy to miss, and fades quickly.
If your chanterelles are yellow, consider Cantharellus formosus.

Thanks a lot for your help I have a bunch of the suillus so I'll see if I can find any blue brusing so I know what to stay away from next time. I like formosus better than subalbidus for the chanterelle.

I second the slippery jack id, be sure to keep checking your spot as porcinis might pop up after a while.
