What do you think about Alice in Wonderland? What did you interpret everything to be? Also, how many of you have tripped while watching it?

Alice in wonderland is one of the tightest movies, never watched while tripping. I'm also talkin about the cartoon version, but that one is that shit.

haha yeah i did that by accident once....
but anyways... i havent seen alice in wonderland since i was a little kid. i saw the beginning of it a while ago when i was high (weed) but i fell asleep. all i remember was this one part that would look cool if i made a gif of it. im not sure if it was how it was animated or just because i was high.... but everything in that certain scene seemed extremely pattern like and sort of "trippy" (sounds so dumb when i use that word) the foreground was the rabbit, running or something. im not sure what the background was but it was "trippy"

Awesome movie to watch whilest tripping. Iv watched it like 3 times. The only time I didn't make it through it was when I ate 1/2 oz by my self.........bad idea. Edit: Oh, and I also own the book, its awesome too.

I watched a weird Russian puppett version whist tripping once! I'd seen it before and it was scarey even without drugs! Theres an article about the link between Alice In Wonderland and shrooms in the feb 2004 issue of 'The Fortean Times', in case you're interested

i absolutely love the movie. only watched it sober, nonetheless still one of my favorites..even if it is a children's movie. as far as the whole debate whether its based on drugs...im indifferent either way.

I watched it while tripping once, but it was ultra hard to follow. Stuff just happened and I was like there is a rabbit! It was fun to watch while tripping though.

Ive seen the cartoon and real person version while tripping. Both absolutely amazing. A little hard to follow but so much fukt up trippy shit happens it doesnt even matter. I would recommend it to anyone. Dark crystal is also a good one...but alice takes the cake for sure.

The best one (which I have not been fortunate enough to see while tripping) would be the two-VHS set (not available on DVD). It was made in 1985 and stars Sammy Davis Jr., Carol Channing, Red Buttons, Ann Jillian, Ringo Starr, Steve & Edie, Jonathan Winters, Lloyd Bridges--This one kicks ass!
If anyone has a set, I'd pay top-dollar for a *copy*. Seriously.

I watch Alice in WOnderland whenever it's on T.V. I also watthced in in this girls room while she and my buds were all stoned. It was hilaious. you wouldnt believe the amount of drug references. Personally I prefer fantasia a lot more. IF you want to talk about metaphors in psychedelic cartoons watch the yellow submarine. absolutely hilarious movie

The DVD's are being re-released by Disney sometime this month, it's a two DVD set digitally remastered. I may just have to pick it up to add to the Disney Collection...

There is a debate about it being based on drugs? I thought it was pretty cut and dry that it is....I mean the whole movie is about this girl eating/drinking/smoking/hallucinating.

I think once I watched it when I was stoned and saw a lot of stuff hidden in the illustrations that looked like mushrooms. For example, When the mad hatter put all the jelly and stuff inside the rabbits clock, it looks a LOT like a mycelium cake with mushrooms popping out.I think it was meant to be one, check it out
