What kinds of tea do you drink?

Trying to quit caffeine by replacing coffee with herbal teas. What kind of tea (including medicinal mushroom teas of course) do you drink and what are the benefits? Right now I'm drinking chamomile for the calming effects, and ginger tea because an old neighbor swears by its immune system benefits.

Indian black tea for stimulation, lemon balm for relaxation and mint and wild thyme for the taste. I am wondering is there any way to maximize the effect of black tea and lemon balm. Sometimes I don't feel it, sometimes it's a really noticeable buzz.

i like organic herbal teas - i don't particularly like caffeine so i stick to herbs like mint, chamomile, honeybush, and my favourite right now is a blend called 'gold cup chai' which has cinnamon, ginger, turmeric, cloves, orange peel and maybe a couple other things.
as far as more medicinally beneficial herbal teas, you might want to look into ones like holy basil and gotu kola, those two have some really good benefits associated with them

My grandfather sends our family in the states a tea from the mountains in eastern europe. By far it is the best tea I've ever had and probably ever will have. A subtle sweetness with a pervasive calmness. Wish yall could try it.

drinking a chai mate right now.
shits bomb.
just soak the powder in lemon juice, and add hot water after like 15 min.
unless you're talking about non active mush teas. in which case reishi is really good for you, and moderately tasty if you have the pallet for it

i really like reishi, i don't take it as a tea instead i use a 20x extract powder of it and put a teaspoon in my morning smoothie. it's very strong tasting, but i feel it's a beneficial tonic to add to my daily routine

I'll probably try growing some reishi for a tea stash after I get some easier grows down. How long do you usually steep reishi tea? Add anything for flavor?

haha you could add agave if it's too bitter I guess. I like it as is though.
i think I steeped for longer at lower temps and it was much better than a flash steep. it got way too bitter and kinda burned the tea when I steeped with near boiling water

if you find the taste too strong at the dosage you wish to take, you might find it more palatable to add it to a fruit smoothie also i have read that ingesting vitamin c at the same time as reishi increases your ability to absorb the reishi compounds

matcha guayusa chamomile, chamomile + lavender tulsi lemon balm roasted dandelion root nettles marshmallow root ginger
One of my favorite combos is fresh ginger w/ tulsi. Trying to phase out even the matcha and go no caffeine all together, but I'm only doing 1/2 tsp of matcha a day now which is nothing compared to the 2-3 cups of coffee a day I used to drink.
I love tea!!!

I checked out that website and found that that guy has done some research after reading the story and skimming over the medicinal plants.
Do you know what climate the New Jersey tree grows in?

I like yogi tea, but they use "natural flavors" in a lot of their blends. Plus, I prefer to mostly buy single herbs/teas and make my own blends
Imho Rishi, Numi, & Traditional Medicinals are the best!
I have been loving roasted dandelion root as a kind of coffee replacement. I'll steep two tea bags really strong and then add a little cashew milk in the morning. I haven't had coffee in over a month and am down to just a small amount of matcha each day (1/2 tsp). Ime, it's best to taper off by switching the black tea, then green tea, then go completely off.

HeyYogabunny! Do you roast your own root?
I've tried it as a tea but just the unroasted root. I found it quite bitter and not that plesant but i've eaten raw root as a post winter cleanse.. worked good but tasted rough.
Anyone use chickory root? Word is they use it in store bought/sold coffee to cut the bitterness.
Made a tea with nettles the other day. It's tough to cut the planty flavor but like most of the stuff: if the medicinal aspects are worth it. .

I've been drinking "Traditional Medicinals" everyday detox tea for the past three or four days and have noticed a difference in my body. Mathis morning I woke up and my stomach felt refreshed and well. I eat semi healthy and have been noticing how and what I eat.
Today at the grocery store I said to myself that I wish I could eat healthier while looking for the frozen pizza. My mom suggested to make my own pizza which I will start doing after I get a pizza pan. Mhm sounds really good grating my own fresh mozzarella.
Organic Darjeeling tea is what I drink during the daytime which is caffeinated.
Matcha is what I'm aiming for next to add to my teas.
If I had access or could cultivate my own herbs for tea I would. I know that will come with time.

Yerba mate, it's not a true tea as in Camellia sinensis, but it's very good for you and tastes great both hot or iced. Guayusa is the same.
I also drink various types of black and green teas from Assam, Nilgiri, Darjeeling, Kenya, Sri Lanka/Ceylon, and at rare times China.
I used to love Japanese green tea but I stopped drinking it after Fukushima.
