Jar with Mycelium stalling

Hi all,
This is my first post here, so welcome everyone. I am having troubles with my jars which I inoculated with P.Cubensis spores. It all went well, I mixed brown rice with vermiculite, in small jars. After 8 days first few white spots showed up. They grew larger with each day until recently. In the last 4 days or more they simply stopped progressing as I can see. This, as you can see below, has been for almost a week now. The jars stand on my heater, which is set up for about 86 degrees precisely (I can control the water temp. inside). All has been constant, air wholes are fine I guess, never shaken them or anything. What's happening? I have 3 jars like this, and I suspect all 3 behave the same.

You should start over. What was your brf cake recipe? That jar looks excessively wet and could be bacterial.

Your jar could be possibly contaminated and that is why the mycelium isn't progressing. I might also get them off the heater. High Temps like that help contams thrive and grow faster in your substrate.

You're supposed to bring the verm to field capacity, then mix in the brf. That looks like you brought the verm/brf mixture to field capacity after you mixed them.
Also, 86 degrees is way too warm. They colonize fine at 75 so there is no reason for the heater...ditch it

Interesting... So the stall mycelium tek is to make it overly wet, and have it at 86F sitting directly on the heater. I see!

I'm sure there are many "stall teks" but this seems to work pretty well.

So if they're potentially contaminated, this is also possible without visible effects (mould)? As far as I can see cake is good.
Took them off the heater now put back in a blanket in a couch.

I'd get that temp down to 75F or less even. Hopefully bacteria didn't take hold and that condensation is from the excessive heat.
I would start another batch, while you wait and see.

Just set it on a shelf man. Why wrap in a blanket??

Unless your ambient room temps go below 65*F on a regular basis, I would just leave them on a shelf, out in the open and exposed to indirect lighting. Incubation is outdated and totally unnecessary.

I also made some corn teks. A small one, middle size and large. Small grows nicely, medium a bit slower, but the big one is somewhat still too. Maybe I wait another week until the small one colonizes fully and then try to put some of colonizes corns into the large one, once it's still not colonizing

86 is way too hot. Above 83 according to RR stunts growth and the middles are 4 degrees higher than the outside. 75-79 in the middle is ideal.
