Something Id like to address in relation to this sub's two favorite candidates

Id say we have a fair amount of both Trump and Sanders supporters, but I keep seeing arguments crop up over such a strange distinction that I feel like I have to point it out.
On multiple occasions, Ive seen Trump supporters validate that support by using talking points from Trump speeches, or other mediums, like interviews or print. Now this would be all well and good if these same people didnt dismiss Sanders' talking points as hollow promises.
So heres my question: Why is it reasonable to doubt Sanders' campaign promises when we have a 30 year voting history to check them on, while taking Trump's word on talking points like campaign finance when hes admitted that hes a participant in the "legalized bribery" game?
Now look, Im all for questioning campaign rhetoric. Despite what some of you think, I was one of the only people in my social circle questioning how or why a corporate funded, Kissinger employed Barack Obama was going to change things. But you cant have it both ways here guys; if youre going to seriously doubt Sanders on his talking points, then you need to doubt Trump's about a hundred times more, based on the two's records (which is all we have to go on besides their campaign rhetoric).
Thoughts?

I don't doubt sanders talking points, I think he's very serious about imposing a Venezuelan style govt here
That said, I think Trump has just as much chance of implementing what he says with a dem congress as Bernie does with a GOP held congress

Yes, that's all we're really debating, your guy has more empty rhetoric than my guy.
Yes, Sanders track record on his issues has remained pretty consistent throughout the years, for a career politician that's respectable. At the same time, he's going to need corporate money to continue his dream of being in the White House.
Trump is a different story all together, yes his track record is one of a aggressive billionaire businessman, but that doesn't discredit his plans or leadership abilities. Since Trump doesn't need the corporate money, he has the in-dependency to do and say whatever he wants, that's what people love about him, no kiss ass PC bullshit with the Donald.

Thats fair, but this is what I mean when i talk about their resumes. Bernie has a history of getting legislation passed, and Trump doesnt. So wouldnt it be more reasonable to assume Sanders has a better chance of getting his agenda through?
and another thing: Sanders might be jumping the gun here on his policies, but the nation is moving left. Its inevitable. Trump is warring with his own party over pushing right.

Its not all were debating but its one of the things. And I disagree that Bernie needs corporate money to win.
And yeah, Trump has charisma but how does that translate to honesty andmsticking to his word? Obama got voted in on charisma and howd that translate? Not well.
