Inocuole said: Creeper is a guy that renamed a bunch of cube strains gimmicky names and sold them for marked up prices, if I'm not mistaken. That said, that's not necessarily a genetic trait you're describing, that's poor environment and/or procedure most of the time.
It was actually keeper. Keepers creepers was his flagship strain. He was also the genius behind menace strain and the confusing blue meanies.
I thought Menace was a different person somewhere here on shroomery. Ive had a syringe of the Menace strain (P. menace or something). Had no idea, but always was interesting in Creepers, prolly just the name. It seems like strains that "stick around" probably do for a reason.
Kinda like PESA PESH B+ and PF

Sometimes it's good genetics, sometimes it's catchy names that people think are special. A reason isn't always a good reason though.

Maybe menace wasn't a keeper one, hard to keep track sometimes.

I get where your coming from inoc, but I'm growing my creepers next to GT's. I have 6 cakes creeper and 6 cakes GT in my SGFC. But I think maybe the GT just is a bit more resilient because they were growning fine while the creepers were acting strange (little behind in pinning, smaller size, caps spreading early). But I've since then optimized my environment and am seeing lots of improvements.

Well then it is a genetic trait, but it's probably not the one that was intentionally stabilized so you're still experiencing multispore randomness.

So i wonder. How unimportant is environment really?
Seems like a sort of threshold where if you do things *well enough* genetics just take it from there?
For example. I set up a tub of some KSSS once, typical mono. But i also made like a mini tub from the same spawn. And i thought it was a little contammed (the mini tub, with just 1 grain jar, the main one was 4). Anyway so i just left it outside, in a place that actually doesnt get any sunlight, and it was outside so it got lots of FAE. Anyway it turned out, i checked that mini tub outside later, i thought it was screwed, and it had a HUGE flush going, pretty much same kinda fruit as what i had indoors, and also just as potent....
I gave my main mono the best conditions. I guess so then, it really is just genes. Still, i always wanna try them with love

Have you guys heard about a 301 "strain". Not sure if this is legit cubensis or not. Has anyone heard of this Cubensis called 301?

301... After the area code in which they were cultivated. They're supposed to be a hybrid of two different cubes. Can't find anything on it though.

Probably some dude put spores from two varieties on an agar plate then isolated a bit and put his his area code on it. I'm sure it will be fine, but don't pay for it. Mixing two varieties is similar to mixing human races. It may be more genetically diverse than the average domesticube, depending on how much isolation was done.
--------------------
I spawned some popcorn casings and had double-overlay cause I didn't put enough hydrogen peroxide in my automated aquarium mister. I only got one mushroom so I cut off the head part where the seeds fall from and put it in a jar of LC and sprayed it all over a tin of PF cakes I made with gravel, cardboard, and bisquick in my microwave. I think it will be good cause B+ is so potent. Triggered yet? Only a square would say "a cube is a cube."
No, this does not look right...

My hands down favorite and best performing cube culture was the result of mixing two cube varieties.

To my surprise, a vendor sent me a bonus syringe called Matias Romero. The liquid is dyed red, and it has Halloween stickers on it. I've never heard of this cube type. Golden Teacher was my original order. Anyone have info on Matias Romero? Should I grow that or Golden Teacher?
