I am about to finish a six week dui program that was court ordered.i am also supposed to do 24 aa/na self help meetings in order to get my certification.i was planning on getting friends to sign and just making it out to look like i did four classes every saturday for six weeks.heres my problem i overheard the teachers talking about how they have access to the logs and that the chairman of the class has to sign the form.any advice or stories of any one that has had experience with this will be greatly appreciated.i am eligible to get my license back as soon as i show proof of certification after 5years of being revoked.please help i dont ask for much here but right now i really need the community's help.

Just do it. Trying to cheat the system rarely works in your favor. All you have to do is bullshit your way through it and it's a breeze. Say everything they want to hear.

considering that your posting on a monitored site that the police state will read/view I would say its a mistake to cheat. You would be in the clear but a year or so down the road you will be detained if lucky, more likely swat raided and nailed with all kinds of charges from fraud to contempt of court and these costs (lawyer-legal/fines/lost wages and driving privileges and time in a cage)will outweigh any gains you get right now. finish the program and move on with your life, trust the advice its not worth the crap you will be buried in otherwise.

24 meetings isn't all that many. Obviously it depends on your schedule but you could do that many in a week if you have the time. AA is cool too because you're free to put in input, to not put any in at all.
Get it done and you never have to go back

Really, just wtf LOL. You think a case simple enough to be resolved by just doing 24 AA/NA meetings is worthy of them trying to catch him up?
Even if someone in law enforcement monitoring this place, is close enough to him for it to come back on him, how would it? Do you have his name? I sure don't. As far as they're concerned he's another faceless forum poster.
Holy shit you're paranoid.

"Some courts have held that it’s unconstitutional for authorities to order people who declare a religious objection to attend AA meetings. In 2007, the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, based in San Francisco, found that a parole officer can be sued for damages for ordering a parolee to go through AA." -- http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2014/jul/31/fremont-man-sues-state-over-aa-requirement/

Say everything they want to hear.
Actually, you won't have to say anything. My group doesn't require active participation. They have meetings at 7AM, Noon, 7PM every day, plus midnight meetings on the weekends.
At the most you might be asked to raise your hand if you're counting days, and say "Hi. I'm lost87 and I have 40 some days(or whatever)" I've got 656 days dry, btw and I wouldn't have been able to do that without the help and support of AA. Who knows? You might even learn something...
Did you have to do community service and drug testing?

AA/NA meetings don't typically have "logs" that can be accessed. Just get your friends to sign it. I do it all the time without consequence.

I got a dui back in July and am going through the motions right now. A.A. is most definitely not the hardest part of it all. Just go to the meetings. Sometimes I even leave meetings in a way better mood than when I walked in. You don't have to be an alcoholic to get something out of it. It's like free group therapy with coffee.

Just go to the meetings, you're not the first one to try to pull this.
I've heard stories about the "teachers" communicating with the court about attendance, however unlikely...it's possible.
Go to the meetings..go to the meetings.

what they are referencing to is the different AA member that is heading up the meeting, the use different ones because they are all neurotic and want to feel important and it makes forging the signature much more difficult because it is supposed to be a different person every time, and if they had reason to believe you forged they can contact the meeting and check.
trust me these type of people love to catch stuff like this and really double dick you so you "learn".

So AA/NA is a sham? How do you check on something anonymous The whole thing is that is anonymous and if you do get outed you probably could have fair grounds for a law suit. Personally I've never seen a productive AA meeting. But if OP likes Koolaid it may be worthwhile.

I don't much like it either. I guess it really depends on how you look at it though. You don't go to jail because you broke a law by refusing to go. Agreeing to go is part of the stipulation of avoiding jail for whatever crime it was you actually did commit.
I did it when I was on probation. It was annoying, but it's not really a huge deal. At first I even refused to stay sober, didn't smoke weed because it stays in your system too long, got caught with a random drug test. Judge didn't violate me and I decided my freedom was worth more than getting drunk. Spent the remainder of my year on probation sober. 100% bullshitted my way through all the meetings and stuff. I had no intention of staying sober once I was off probation, but acted as if I was really trying to get and stay sober.

no they cross check the date of the meeting with the persons signature directing the meeting to verify that you were there. obviously only court ordered people have to get signatures.
i believe that while it is supposed to be anonymous that situation has blown out many times.
