Contamined? Orange stuff. Anything I can do?

Hi guys,
This is my first grow in 15 years and it happened under non ideal conditions, so please forgive me if I might appear somewhat ignorant at some point.
So I had a stash of 4 year old dried mushrooms, which I forgot about after numerous times relocating. When I found them, I opened the box and noticed the bottom layer of the box was full of spores.
I made some syringes from it and inoculated 5 yars via PF tek. Needless to say, the syringes were most likely not sterile due to the old spores and non sterile storage. 4 of the yars were tossed due to trych, probably cross contam since I haven't sterilized the needle after each jar.
The last jar however colonized pretty well and is now at 70%. I'm at day 14 and orange yellowish spots began to take shape. I'm still hoping this is just metabolites but I suspect the worst. I have a feeling I overhydrated the cake mix.
I really hope to get some fruit bodies from it though, since I want to make new prints. I have no way of getting any new spore syringes, spores or such. So if this goes wrong, it's basically over for now.
Is there any way I can save this cake? Premature birthing, salts, cutting out contam?
Pictures attached and help much appreciated!

I think you'd have to suspect some bacteria in there, especially with the red tint on the last picture, and given the moisture content looks high. You may well be able to birth and still get some pins, remove any uncolonised substrate, but more than likely yield will be reduced from what it could have been, but worth a go

So go ahead and birth right away, removing uncolonized substrate?

Judgment call, but if it were me thats what I'd be doing I think. Has this coloration been getting worse gradually or staying static? if its getting worse I'd birth now and try and salvage what I could, if it were static, and the myc was still making progress, I might hang on a few more days and try and get further along the colonization path

The red stuff appeared today, colonization stalled a little bit the last 2 days.

It may well be the beginning of lipstick mold contamination (Geotrichum candidum) after looking at some more examples. In which case the usual recommendation is to start over as it can be nasty if you breath it in..

Suspected lipstick mold myself. Damn shame. Cutting out the area in my garden won't rid me of it, I guess?

Well you could try burying the sub outside and seeing if you get some growth, if you've got the right conditions etc, but I think indoors is too risky to future growth, and maybe your health, so not worth the risk. Tough break man, good luck though

So, are there any other opinions on whether this is lipstick mold? I'd like to hear them.

I had a few jars about a year ago that was definitely lipstick mold, bright red circles.they do start off orangish, but the red was always circular and started from the center of the discoloration.

It's circular. But the red only appears on the outer ring. Thanks for the input btw.
Still wondering whether i should birth it. As mentioned earlier, I got no access to spores at my current location.
