Came to post Zappa's list, basically. Wouldn't have included Steve Howe though as I didn't even know he played piano.
Definitely not Billy Joel

Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Psalm 12:6 The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Hebrews 11:3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. Revelation 3:11 Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.

I had a feeling
I wish Billy Joel would fade into obscurity, I'm sorry but the dude's music is straight garbage to my ears.

Yeah. He wrote a few catchy tunes but he is mostly a singer/songwriter. He isn't distinguished by his musicianship.

I honestly prefer electric keys due to the diversity and infinite possibilities, I love both though.
My grandma is a classical piano teacher and has two full sized grands in her living room I use to play them when I was younger.
Synths are so much more compact and versatile though, I definitely appreciate both though. Acoustic and electric both have their place and ups n downs.

Tony Banks is a wunderkind. One of my favorite keyboardists; he plays a lot of piano (but it's his work with the Mellotron that blows me away--like God's Own Choir at times, and beautiful--unlike Rick Wakeman's jarring cacophony (but I love Rick Wakeman for different reasons).

I forget his name but the keys player from the black crowes and CRB is amazing, he plays mostly synth though.

I didn't even know Steve Howe played keyboards. I found this trivia. Steve Howe and Rick Wakeman first played together on the first Lou Reed Solo album.
I saw Yes once with Morazz and once with Wakeman. I liked the show with Morazz better, not because he was a superior player, but he fit in better with the band concept, played shorter solos, etc.

Rick Wakeman (Yes; David Bowie; much solo work) is up there.
Tom Waits is a brilliant pianist--a gifted motherfucker.
Rick Davies (Supertramp) = highly underrated on the ivories.

i would go with Ray Manzarek, Rick Wakeman, the guy from Lynyrd Skynyrd (early years prior to the plane crash and becoming morbidly obese), and Tony Banks (prior to Genesis morphing into a soulless, shitty pop band)
