Psilocybe cyanescens under yew tree: safe to ingest ?

Hi folks! I have a question for which I can't seem to find the answer by using the search or google. I have a nice psilocybe cyanescens patch going under a yew tree (taxus baccatus). As everybody probably knows the yew tree is very poisonous. Especially the leaf matter and the seeds. Could the mushrooms somehow suck up the poison from the needles that fell down on the patch? This might be a stupid question, but I can't find any info on this. I know that mushrooms can be used to clear contaminated or polluted areas, since they can absorb heavy metals, but what about poison from other organisms?

This is more of a hunting question. Ask it over there. I have been picking wild mushrooms for 20 years and have never heard of this being a problem. But I would still double check Ask Allen Rockefeller
-------------------- Stop experimenting half way through your first grow. Grow it to maturity, watch it, learn from it. Do this a few times then experiment with different ideas and figure out what works best for you.

Ok, thanks tahoe. Your cyanescens threads have been very helpful to me. Since I cultivated the patch, I posted it in the cultivation sub-forum. Anyway....Alan Rockefeller, should you read this I would be very grateful if you could share an opinion on this. Peace

I found an interesting article:
http://extension.psu.edu/natural-resources/forests/woodpro/technotes/toxicity-of-yew-wood-and-roots
quote: "taxine is almost completely insoluble in water and thus probably not susceptible to leaching"
Would this mean that taxine will not be present in the mushroom?

I just wanted to let everyone know that Alan Rockefeller told me that they will not suck up the poison. Toxins are broken down by the mushrooms, according to Alan. Quote: "Some mushrooms concentrate heavy metals, Psilocybe has never been shown to. Toxins other than heavy metals are broken down." I think this is important information.
