Noam Chomsky and Herman Hesse: Recommend which books please!

I've read siddhartha, like 8 times, so any Hesse recommendation other than that I would love to hear. Been meaning to read more of him for a while and actually dreamt about it the other day so figured I'd better take the hint. Front runners atm: narcissus and goldmund, and damian. (damian mostly because its really cheap)
Chomsky on the other hand, I have read none of his books. I watched a couple netflix specials about him a while back and loved them. Now I keep seeing amazing quotes of his popping up everywhere and feel I need to read this guys work. I'd be more interested in his work on governance, capitalism, that kind of thing.
His book on anarchism sounded interesting. I don't really KNOW a damn thing about anarchy, but I'd really like to.
Keep in mind I'm not super smart. Chomsky seems like he might have some tougher material so maybe start on an easier introductory book.

Damian is one of my favorites of Hesse's. I can't imagine you would be disappointed. Steppenwolf and The Glass Bead Game (Magister Ludi) are two more that I love. Similar themes run through most of his books these are my favorites.
I can't really make recommendations for Chomsky

chomsky's really easy to read. he's very engaging and doesn't over-complicate things. i've read how the world works, understanding power, power systems and profit over people. if i had to recommend a starting point i'd say go with how the world works. i have because we say so in my kindle carousel.
