Normal Anxiety?

This might not be a very interesting question, but I'm curious about the average person's level of anxiety on a day-to-day basis. In my normal state of daily life I feel a certain amount of ever present tension and dread. I'm not usually freaking out but there's a nagging feeling all the time that seems to slightly inhibit my interactions with other people in certain ways. I honestly don't recognize this until I experience the absence of this feeling (via clonazepam, etc.). This makes me wonder if I'm just high and groovin' when I'm on an anti-anxiety medicine, or if this lack of tension is how many people experience the world. (not talking about body-high, just the lack of mental stress). I guess since I can't escape my subjective experience, I'm just wondering if it's just a fact of life that most of us feel this more-or-less manageable, non-situational (this is the operative word in my question), moderate amount of anxiety from morning to night, or if that is a common enough problem, but still a bit of an abnormality. Do u feel the dread and slight chest tension at every waking moment? Is that at or above the optimal so-called "eustress" that makes us productive? Is this whole question obvious and dumb as hell? I'm not looking for a psychology text book answer, just personal responses. Thanks

Every single person I meet that tries anti-anxiety medication says they could see themselves needing a prescription for it. This is like a running joke in my life.

Exactly. You will always hear that from people. "My doctor won't write me a prescription for them so I have to get them on the street or online." The feeling of being on benzos is far from what the average person feels normally. Imagine being barred the fuck out and hearing some super bad news you wouldn't react like a normal person. Trust me.
I get selective anxiety. I don't get it in regular social situations only in situations where I'm on the spot. Things like interviews, presentations, or similar. For me that brings out inability to perform and it's happened so many times I've just given up doing it without something to curb it. It's usually fast heart rate, inability to breathe, can't think, etc. I've really fucked up my GABA receptors in the past years so yeah I blame it solely on that shit.

ah it's too broad to answer, pretty much i'd say. yet - everyone has the same happinesses and sorrows, pretty much - and the same capability of getting past them.. that is - there's a steady, pure rhythm... like - a cool head, warm feet type of thing.. quite possible to get to that state if you want to! it's very lovely, very beautiful --
