The new preferred strains?
    #22398858 - 10/18/15 05:25 PM (8 years, 3 months ago)

When I used to grow, my favorites were B+ for the ease, size and consistsy. My second favorite was PE for potency. I was wondering if there was any thing new that's worth suggesting.

Here's a link to my grow log about it.  It's still in progress.  I think I'm on the 4th flush now.

I find that it's an aggressive colonizer with hearty fruits.  It's got some quirks such as easy bruising and fuzzy feet regardless of FAE.  All in all, it's been a steady producer for me.

Yea dude strain thread. But since Im bored

B+ and golden teacher and A+ abd treasure coast.. even penis envy are all the different varieties of the same species.

They all have the same potential to Potency and yeild (PE being the exception with a higher average potency) and same growth parameters, they only differ cosmetically.

Basically you might grow B+ one time and it will be big and potent and then if you grow it from the same spore print thry might be tiny and weak. Only if you isolate a strain on agar or clone will you get consistent potency or yeild.

Statements like "B+ is a good beginner strain bevause it grows big and is easy" or whatnot are kind of outdated info

that only really holds true for the less domesticated varietes, strains like b+ or amazonian are inbreed to the point that they are fairy predictable and have low genetic variability, of course it also varies between vendors as well, but I've had constant predictable results from vendor i get my spores from.

As long as you dial in right and have all your environmentalist straight and spawn your tubs well I doubt you'll be dissapointed with any of the "domesticated" cubes in an MS grow

But beyond cosmetics I don't think you can say with any reliability that one will have better potential for good strains than any other (weird ones like PE excluded)

From the other strain thread, think it's relevant here as well

I'm a pretty big fan of the EnvySS and Rustywhyte. They are new and will both be making the rounds in the community in 2016 I'm sure.
