Different store bought substrates.

Is there another simple substrate that can be bought in the store that doesn't require processing for the PF Tek (ie. blending brown rice into BRF). I was thinking something along the lines of plain oatmeal, like the Quaker canisters you can buy. Anyone ever tried this or know of another good substrate?

Some health food stores sell the acuall brown rice flour that you dont have to blend up. I never see this at normal grocery stores though.

I have tried whole grains before with bad results and I was looking for something more along the lines of the PF tek because I only have 2 syringes left and I am looking for a sure thing.

Most food stores carry rye flour and whole wheat flour , both of which are said to produce good results .

this may be a little off from the other replys, but someone has been getting great results off SPB ( store bought poo)

All American brand from Home Depot -- has been working consistantly out of the bag. And at 40 pounds for 1.47 -- its killer.

Out of the bag useage may be a long running streak of luck for someone -- recommend pasturizing it first.

Theres other brands that i believe NewSpore has also used with success.
