The lil blue specs on the cap look right, the spores look right and the purple would make make think luteofolius or aeruginosus, Just had a debate over the diff. Not much if any.
You're bruising blue when you munch em is cool mine don't react that strongly. They darken where cut but never a noticeable blue. And all my myc is yellow and white never blue. Aborts sometimes but not the myc.
Try and take some better pics.

They look right although I haven't ever heard of Gymnopilus exhibiting a bruising reaction to handling. At least not a rapid one. As for the exact species, mycroscopy is usually required to nail it down in the genus Gymnopilus.

Yah new species are always scary and exciting.
So research doses for your body mass, try one lil piece first wait a day or two make sure your not allergic or something.
I'll tell you though these things taste like a moldy lemon wedge, and it lingers.............
Another distinct feature of gyms.

I've heard the best dose is 1g per kg of body mass. But shit 10g is a nice fun time threshold effects, once you get past the taste. Aminitas got nothing on these boys.... Flys actually have a pretty good taste. These are bad... Like just bad... Brush your teeth when your done...
Try just a lil piece now while it's fresh you'll see...
Never made tea with em feel liked it's a waste the water can only get out do much before things homogenize and if I make tea to not have to eat them then why throw half the good stuff out...
Grind em into a powder and put it in gel caps.

that is like the most blue ive ever seen on a gym... crazy.
usually when i find them it takes a while to actually bruise, and its like a just a little bit at the base of the stem. that is REALLY vibrant. they're probably some potent ass gyms.
