Old magic truffles

About two years ago (22 months) I bought magic truffles from Holland.
(left: psilocybe mexicana, right: psilocybe hollandia)
Usually they are brown, not black, but after a week of ordering they turned black. And a long time ago I heard, that they get more potent with age.
Anyway I feel like eating them and I'm wondering if anyone has some insights on magic truffles and if it's safe to eat them after such a long time.
As you can see in the picture, they are sealed up pretty tight. And they were stored away of any sunlight. If you want I can upload some more close up pictures.
Cheers, Hans

Those are rotten
--------------------
Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Psalm 12:6 The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Hebrews 11:3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. Revelation 3:11 Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.

If they are dry they are good but if they were wet when they were sealed than there's a good chance that they are rotten

Those are rotten or heavily, heavily bruised.

They look like they did two years ago, a week after ordering them. And they are vacuum sealed.

I had magic truffles from the same vendor before that and they were wet/oily. The ones you see in the picture however seem kind of dry however.

Sealed up like that, fresh truffles have a shelf life of maybe 3 months if they are kept refrigerated, less than that if they have been sent through the mail first. Outside of a fridge...even less. Those look a bit rotten, I wouldn't eat them after that length of time.

Sometimes the outside will start to go black but the sclerotia is still basically OK inside, but it's a sign of gradual deterioration. A week is one thing....but two years is a lot longer...those are almost totally black and don't look very edible. The only hope would be if the sclerotia was sealed when it was fairly dry, but packed like this it's normally fresh. In good condition this stuff should have a firm and nutty texture, if its squishy, slimy, or there is liquid in the bag, or it smells rancid/fermented when you open it, it's probably rotting.

That's true while they are growing, but not after they've been harvested and packed. It's basically a kind of fresh food with a similar shelf life. Properly dried scerotia after 2 years....fine. Fresh? Yuck, your stomach will not thank you and you might end up spending a lot of time on the toilet.
