Agar for Compost Lovers
    #22392261 - 10/17/15 08:30 AM (8 years, 3 months ago)

I have some Agaricus and Leucoagaricus in the fridge I want to clone, do they have any special requirements for agar? The medium I've been using is sort of a weak PDYA with some oats, bran and wood chips added during boil. It works OK for wood lovers (Laetiporus, Fistulina, Ganoderma all seem to like it). Is it likely to fail for the others?

I think I have Fistulina. Of my first round of plates one has survived. It took the better part of a week to adapt, but I think it can be subcultured  mid-week. I'll see if I can borrow a decent camera then. The second round (different parent) seems to be jumping off faster.
