I didn't say time isn't a thing, I said it is subjective. We perceive it and our perception is limited therefor it is subjective.
If you take any given moment, be it just a second or a minute or even an hour and ask multiple people to describe it for some it may have passed quickly and felt short, others it may have felt like forever. Take when we are born and when we die, you are born and live for 1 second. That second is all you have known but quickly moves forward into minutes and hours.
That first second might as well have been infinity for you compared to the nothing before it The more time passes the quicker it seems to move by becouse you have experienced more so it seems like less. By the time we die even an early death say in our 40's we have past through so much time that each moment feels much shorter than it would have say in your 20's or when you were 10. That is what I would call subjective.

Would be insane, especially since they could probably analyze it to find strange patterns pretty easily that could be a form of communication.
I saw like two other articles n this but one of them was pretty much the same one worded differently I didn't look much though.

Perception of time isn't reality any more then perception of temperature. Time can ne measured, and gravity does alter the speed of time, it os not subjective at all.

If people would just stop for a moment and THINK about what would be needed to build a Dyson's Sphere...
Good lord - believe anything, won't they?

So your saying if two people get into a sauna, both the same temperature, and one gets out becouse it is two hot that isn't subjective?
The temperature might not be changing but their perception of it is, same with time.
Theoretically black holes bend time, and our whole reality could be a holographic universe inside of a black hole.Quote:

I second both of these things it is crazy how much ancient seems to be slowly being proven in our lifetimes. I am very grateful to be alive.

Hence why dyson swarms are more logical, I made this point earlier when someone asked how any light would escape a sphere around a sun

In order to make a Dyson Sphere, you would have to mine SO many planets/asteroids. Its just so much material needed to surround a star.
And how the Pop Science showed in a photo, the Dyson Sphere isnt solid. It looked more like a cage sphere than an enclosed sphere.

That is why a dyson swarm would make much more sense and also explain the light gaps.
Quote:
"swarm of megastructures,”
That is from the article, there are a lot of reasons a dyson sphere wouldn't be very plausible besides the materials as well.

why create fusion when you can harness naturally occurring fusion?

I think harvesting energy from the structure of the universe will be the ultimate energy source. Nikola Tesla thought so as well as many others.
Just have to find a way to harness it properly.

why create fusion when you can harness naturally occurring fusion?
Because a fusion reactor can be compact, burn a little hydrogen and put out tons of energy. Building all those satellites is going to be nearly impossible and then you have the problem of transferring the energy from them to where you want to use it.
For what possible reason would any civilization need that much power, most of the power of a star? We can't even use 1% of the sun's energy that hits the earth, this scheme seems to involve millions of times as much energy.
I realize its exciting to think we have discovered aliens but the odds are about a million to one its not a dyson sphere. If this was a workable scheme and there was some realistic need to harness that much energy why wouldn't lots of other stars show the same pattern? The light from that star is only a few thousand years old, so its not some old system they used a billion years ago and abandoned.
I have little doubt aliens have visited us in the past. Too many rational and sober people have testified to that fact. But since the aliens want it secret, it remains a legend. That theory has a lot more going for it than a dyson sphere for which there are logical and natural explanations. But I won't hijack the thread going into all that.

what if worm holes are actually alien butts, and it only looks like its sucking things in because its so far away creating an optical allusions, seriously we know of so many illusions on earth surely we have been tricked looking out into space somehow and havn't realized it yet because unlike on earth we can't really go out there yet at least not that far. So my point being is maybe blackholes are shitting things out instead. And the universe wasn't created by a big bang but instead by a big shit, it explains where all the gas came from, anyone with a brain knows it didn't just fall off a tree or get created out of thin air, this explains it! and thats how the universe is expanding and new stars still getting created, every time the universe gets bigger its because a blackhole showed up and shat it out
