Another El Paso outdoor grow

Giving under my pallet table another shot, i tried buckets with marginal success. I made a bed using 30 lbs of phoenix oyster flushed out wood chips, 4 pails soaked wood chips, a few handfuls of gypsum, cow manure, and organic manure then one pail dry straw as top dressing. The patch is about 3'x4'x6" deep. Start date was 10 oct and colonization is almost complete, its just working its way through the top layer. Hopefully this works as well as at my friends house and i can keep refreshing it every few weeks. It should produce 3-6+ lbs hopefully. It currently has one sprayer that turns on once a day for 3 min going off my existing drip irrigation system.

I found 10 birds eating the wheat seeds from the straw this morning and they made holes in the patch. I set up fishing wire around the legs to keep em out, seems to be working. Its raining today and forecast for more this week so hopefully fruits by friday for sunday market! Also my housing finally fixed the sprinklers so that's helping as well.

Not much of an update but the patch is producing. I really need to make a poly enclosure for more RH. The bugs have been having their fill of most of the fruits.

Beautiful! I had some pearl oysters last year growing in mulch around some evergreens in my park. Between the fungus gnats and slugs, I only got a few mouthfuls. They still looked awesome though.

just pulled the first halfway decent flush off these today. I need to put a casing of coir or peat on top. The straw is way too dirty and gets all over. Anyone have any good recommendations for outdoor casings?
