Are there any jobs out there?
    #22389056 - 10/16/15 03:57 PM (8 years, 3 months ago)

That will let me work six hours a day five days a week?
Or any trades that don't involve me having to relocate/ drive a lot?
that I could learn in two years

Kind of the last chance for me to career change
i don't know what to do I feel like I should have kept my shitty job
even tho i would have no way to maintain a house

I'm going to be honest the last job I had was awesome only had to talk to people for like a couple hours a day
I didn't know houses were so cheap around here
I could have sworn they were like 300,000
when in reality some are going for like 180,000:facepalm:

makes me think, "why the fuck did I quit my shitty job if my desinty is to relocate 100miles away."

Almost any construction trade would let you work 6 hours a day. They would probably want you to drive separately so your co-worker doesn't have to leave early too. If you did something like  house painting you could learn the trade quickly and start your own painting business.

Take police foundations and become a security guard at like a casino or something. It's a one year course at any college. My good buddy did that and he's real happy with the decision. It's not a stressful job at all and it's good pay, usually good benefits too.

Being a cop is more hours than you described in the OP, and is very stressful and dangerous. Be a security guard and you can still go to work high.

It's kind of hard to picky about a job and hours in today's world. Sometimes you gotta just take what you can get.. just my personal input.

Maybe get into construction or concrete.

Still might have to drive around thou. Some small companies might have work trucks that you could ride in

Ups. Package loader

That's a great job. I worked there as a Christmas temp driving to the airports & back to the local terminal with the 1-day & 2-day packages.
Pissed me off getting laid-off on December 26th, although 'package delivery - local' is a fast-paced gig. Fuckin supervisor was chasing me with a stopwatch (1987) & telling me "HURRY HURRY!!"...I'm not the hurrying kinda guy, so I didn't mind the lay-off.
If you can make it to driving the double tractor-trailers, you're in fat city!! No package handling, just driving. You back up to the docks, unhitch, & hitch a fully-loaded 1 to your cab...& it's strictly terminal-to-terminal.
Those jobs are hard to come by. Someone has to die or hit 65 (or is it 67 now?) before you can grab that gravy train.:stoner:

Even putting in 5 years as a loader gets you a pension.  After 1 year you get good health insurance with vision and dental.  They take care of all their employees.  Even the spaniritas that clean the place get the same good benefits.  Also yearly raises with no salary cap

If you really want a job, youll find one. Thats how Ive looked at it. Ive never had trouble finding a job because job hunting for me isnt going to 3 or 4 places one day and then bitching when I get no calls. When I need a job I apply to at least 5 places a day until I get hired somewhere.

Let me get this straight...

You want a job where you only work 30 hours a week...no heavy lifting, no serious dedication to obtain(less than 2 years), no dealing face to face with other humans, where the commute is small...one where you don't have to be a leader(you hate telling people what to do), one where you aren't expected to do something actually physical, nowhere that people can eat of course...

...and you want all of that, while being this sort of person?:

(what do you even have the balls to write on your resume? lol)

Quote:

oh no I can never hold a gun

My reply:

:canthelpbutlaugh:

You must be :trollhide:

My favourite part though was this:

Quote:

I would love working out everyday

Quote:

I would always feel like not running

look, I'm sorry.  I've been drinking and I can be too blunt sometimes when I'm sauced.

But you want everything for nothing.  Is your nature to be this way because of your autistic psychotic condition?  A pretty shitty excuse if you ask me, but hey, each to their own.

Unless you work for yourself, making peanuts, there is no job in the world that fits your criteria.

I just got my first raise at my job and am off
Probation, that makes me a permanent employee with real job security , they basically can't fire me now:

Celebrating that ! I absolutely love my current job it's by far the best I have ever had.

It doesn't pay nearly as much as my last one but its permanent , guaranteed raises at regular intervals, pension, benefits , vacation etc.

For me pension is essential because saving is hard for me.

Now all I need to do is keep working for 20 years then I can retire !

My wife has a permanent career as well.

I work 12 hour days but as a result I get 7 out of every 14 days off and still get more then 40 hours a week.

I love it !

Good luck in your own search
