Hello all of Shroomery!
    #22388319 - 10/16/15 01:14 PM (8 years, 3 months ago)

I have been lurking since about 2009 and am happy to say that after a good number of grows of an unnamed species (hehe) I am ready to try my hand at the wonderful world of edible and medicinal mushrooms! I have been reading ggmm for sometime and along with the wonderful members of this site I will be going forth with some reishi on coir soon (received culture today) and in the spring months I plan on doing oysters on straw in pvc tubes! I will also be trying my hand at producing morel sclerotia for planting next fall! I look forward to developing relationships with the many wonderful members of this site and will be posting grow logs in the near future! I am also not sure what forum this belongs in so sorry if this one was incorrect!?! Haha

Good luck with the Reishi! I've found them amazing to grow, such interesting shapes and colours. So amazing that they've completely taken over my grow space, monotubs of them, bags, Muda style bottles...  Shame they don't grow just a bit quicker though.

Do the monos give you just antlers? I was hoping to experiment with three different blocks seeing if I could get conks, antlers, and the antlers with conks by manipulating the fae. So fascinating!

Im sure you can adjust the FAE via larger or smaller holes and the speed of fans circulating in the room. I jave some WBS jars fruting some monster conks in my grow chamber with tons of FAE and antlers in my mono 5 gal pails.

Edibles rock!

Good luck with the reishi and definitely bless us with some pin porn when you get things going.

If you do not know where the mushroom products you are consuming are grown, think twice before eating them. :badshroom:
