I'm quite envious. I've been trying to find out what wild psilocybin is like for like 6 years now.
Something tells me this year is my year though..

I hear you on that. My first three years of hunting produced nothing. Then on my fourth year I found a patch. I was so excited that I told done other people that I saw hunting in ggp. They went and picked them all. It was another 3 years until I found some again. But then I got good at it. I realized I was liking in the wrong areas.
Then I took matters into my own hands. I started making spawn and started making my own patches. Teaching myself how to find them have me respect for it. Also makes me protective of my patches. Good luck

yeah people say to just look in bark/mulch beds in residential areas for actives don't they?
I just gave up on looking exclusively for actives lately. I go where I can find the widest variety of species in the shortest amount of time, which seems to be forests.

If nothing else it can be good exercise and educational. It'll only make it sweeter when you do find your first actives, especially with so much effort put in

Hunting for actives can help you find many species also. Just keep looking for other parks or cemeteries in the area. Avoid looking in areas where people have picked many random mushrooms. Occasionally they'll leave some but usually any patches will be picked already.
Edges of forests are really good too and mostly nobody will check there. Not actual trails in the woods but outside edges in parks or public areas. Found 2 patches within 15 minutes of looking. The trick is to check areas with fallen branches and weeds.

I have been pretty fortunate this year. I committed to finding some actives and along the way found a few good edibles along the way. This year many ps. cyans, amanitas and coral fungus.

Tahoe, it's too bad you spent so many years trying to make Auweia's life hell rather than being educated by him. I'm a testament to his awesomeness. I studied his words carefully, even took notes. Then I set out and found more than 30 patches my first season.

You guys suck. Not really but, I do wish I lived up in that area. I scratched all summer and only ended up with about 10g of some surprisingly potent P. cinctulus. You guys can go out and find patches of some of the most potent shrooms in the world; spend a few hours and pick enough to last all year. :P So, incredibly jealous right now. Keep the pics coming, where's all the "oxidation porn"? I wanna see some blue!

What are you talking about? I have been successful long before he showed up here.
Know the facts before you bring up old shit. Especially when talking about a schizophrenic like auweia.

Note auweias first appearance. http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/5012022#5012022
Yes, I say that it was my first hunt and that I was successful in that post. Tahoe was originally going to be a puppet account because I wanted to meet up with other hunters and to not be associated with someone that hung out in cult.
