Still waiting for pins -Poor Man's Terrarium

I have 3 cakes currently in three separate fruiting chambers using the poor man's terrarium method (2 liter bottles wrapped in tape). I fan them twice a day and have a small damp paper towel beneath the cake. The cakes are not in contact with the paper towel as they are suspended over them using wire mesh. The three cakes came out of the jars about a week apart. The first one has been in the chamber since September 5th, the second since the 12, and the third since the 16th or so (I can't remember). I keep them under a fluorescent light 12 hours on/12 hours off. They are in are kept at about 72 degrees fahrenheit. The first cake has some white fluff on it. How are these looking? Should I be expecting pins soon? Should I be doing anything different?

You didnt mention misting in the OP that would be crucial to pinning in a non humidified terrarium next time try the dunk and roll as well that should help in those conditions...they look healthy but dry id give em a good mist

You need to mist those cakes regularly while making sure the water doesn't pool up and soak your cakes. I don't see any perlite in there. Get some. Good luck F O saci.

I'd probably be fanning more than twice a day too... I hope there is holes in that thing I am not seeing.

I'd probably just go into your basement, grab a clear plastic tote, and begin drilling 1/4" holes every 2 inches on all 6 sides.
