What to do with 3 questionable oat jars?

I've recently started messing with oats for spawn. Have good amount of success so far getting spawn going and bulking to mono tubs. However I have 3 jars that just don't seem that solid. They don't have any visible contams that I can see but don't trust them to use them for bulk. Rather than just tossing them how can I at least get some fruits from them? Can I lay a layer of coir/verm on the top and put them in a make shit shotgun tub and expect any fruits off them? I know I've heard RR talk about doing this with a leftover layer of spawn from a master jar. What's the fastest/best way to do this? My bulk monos are taking forever to colonise!

So just maybe a 1/2 inch casing layer and put it right into fruiting? Straight verm ok or should it be coco/verm? That's stuff I have on hand..

I've never cased with just verm so I can't recommend it, I use coir/verm/gypsum. Here are a few jars done this way.

Exactly what I'm hoping to do! Going to mix some coir and verm tonight or tomorrow for a mono so I'll use some of it. The jars are about half full. How deep of a casing should I put in? Assuming I shouldn't shake the jars before casing? Then what? Straight into a sgfc or does it need to partially take over the casing before fruiting? Thanks for your help!

Case em about 1/2" and put them right into fruiting. You want a good casing layer for moisture retention since you are casing straight grains. Keep the casing moist and keep pouring water down the sides of the jars. When the water is absorbed pour some more. Keep em hydrated. Good luck
