Hey guys.
So want to do bulk, trays and mini mono, all that good stuff. But I live in the middle of nowhere and nothing in town sells coir, Hydrated lime, ect.. I've gotten this far in mycology from ordering online. Id like to use what I have at my disposal.
So, can I use a substitute for coir? Can I use a substitute for hydrated lime, gypsum or crushed oyster shells? If there is no proper substitute, Is there a specific kind of coir You'd recommend or anything I should avoid? The same question goes for the Hydrated Lime.
Thanks fella's..

google "eco earth coir 3 pack" and order it, or another brand if its cheaper.
u can use poo or straw if u don't want to order coir.

they supply specific minerals, so not really a substitute for them. u can crush up drywall, make sure its not that colored stuff they use for bathrooms, just regular dry wall, a 1x1 piece will be a couple bucks, maybe u could even get some scraps for free
if u can't add them, its not a big deal though. edit: you should order vermiculite though.
