Slow fruiting and mycelium on caps
    #22382443 - 10/15/15 08:44 AM (8 years, 3 months ago)

It's been about 5 days since my first pins appeared yet they've been growing really slow. I'm using a SGFC and this is definitely the grow I've put the most time in, but I've gotten fruits to grow a lot quicker in way shittier terrariums so I'm worried that I'm doing something wrong. Also for the first time I have mycelium growing on the caps and white fuzz on the stems. I tried searching for answers but all I could find was contradicting reports. Like I said I have a SGFC yet I still mist and fan at least 5 times a day(probably a lot more than that). Heres a pic:

They look good to me. They grow faster and faster, especially in those final hours.

That first pic is there perlite stock on some?

Yes that's a bit of perlite stuck on the cap. I previously had a problem with the mycelium going onto the perlite but I took care of that already. I'm just a little scared about how the caps look(the color) and also he stems on those larger pins. I just haven't really seen them growing like that before but I guess it could be normal, all my past grows were shitty and done in poor mans terrariums
Thanks for the replies.

Cool, its fine (eating it does suck, but that'll just fall off). I just wanted to make sure thats not what you referring to when you said myc growth on caps. It did almost looked like blobby myc growth.

Your sgfc looks solid in color. Hope the lid is clear so they get some light.

Otherwise look okay to me.

Hmm, the lid isn't clear, it's solid neon green(to match the purple lol) but I don't think lighting should be a problem since I have a 13 watt 7000 kelvin fluorescent running on a 12/12 cycle. Also I think they might get a bit of natural light through the holes of that makes a difference. I have found that growing without lights in the past tends to make weird looking fruits but for this grow that shouldn't be a problem.

Also thanks for all the replies, there's a reason this website is the best
