Fuzzy stumps after cutting first flush

Ok so i cut down my first flush as apposed to ripping out the fruits because its supposed to keep contams from taking hold on the ripped sub. After the first day and dunk theirs a white fuzz thats on every stump, its not cobwebby and looks kinda like new mycelium growth but at the same time i think it's contaminated, no bad smells yet tho. Any insight?

Well every part that was just trimmed seems to be pinning buttttt one fucking spot about a apple size around has this lovely green patch started... Fuck, one thing that's funny to me is that I always used to just rip up the fruits in the past and got all the way to a fourth flush but now i cant even get a second flush.. Could it be that growing for awhile has built up contams in the house and its just harder? Or was my mycelium back then just super strong... Idk help would be awesome
Back to the agar plates...

I recently picked half a tub and cut the other. The picked side recovered and fruited again. While the cut side formed a mat and only produced a few more mushrooms. With that I will never cut and leave stumps again. Btw, they were 1/8th inch max
-------------------- Stop experimenting half way through your first grow. Grow it to maturity, watch it, learn from it. Do this a few times then experiment with different ideas and figure out what works best for you.

Hmm. Perhaps dunking right after i cut wasn't the best idea either. I have well water that im sure is full of bacteria. Maybe the patch i left open to the air and water got hit hard and didn't have a chance to regain control. Maybe my spawn wasn't that strong haha fuck idk

Personally i find stumps to be the first thing to contam as opposed to damaged substrates. I have very rarely seen a divot contam but usually if there is any tissue like an abort or chunk of mushroom that didn't get pulled up, that is gonna be where the mold gets its start.
A nice casing often helps, any divots are left in the casing only and the grains in the sub are left alone.

That's an awful idea unless you're trying to grow mold.
