I wasnt sure where to post this, but i just wanted people to know, especially newbies.Walmart now sells 4 packs of Ball 1/2 pint jars w/lids wide mouths, same as the cases only in packs of 4.I saw them the other day, they are right with the rest of the jars.$3.49 not bad.I say that its good for the newbies because not only is it cheap, but i would think 4 jars is a good starting amount for a beginer. All 4 will fit in the Steamer/P Cooker at one time,so no multiple processes and it just seems like a good idea.
anyway, just letting ya all know about it.

Ya i dont think using a jar that is that big is really a good idea for newbies, after all most newbies use the PF tek and with a 1/2 gallon theres also alot more time for contams to set in,dont get me wrong thats a good deal and would be good for experienced growers but my point of telling this is for newbies.Thats part of the reason why PF uses the 1/2 pints they colonize so fast that theres less chance for contams, and i see newbies on here all the time going"blah blah jars are so expensive(even though they arent.I think 4 1/2 pints is a good starting point for a beginer.

I buy them by the case for $4.50 at ace hardware. There's 12 jars in a case. That's about as cheap as they get.
