No green anywhere that I can see. I wonder if it's in the center of the bag.

Id say we already kind of have it singled out to RH%

It may very likely be the RH considering they're in a SGFC, but I still like to hear other opinions. There's allot of experience here in the Shroomery, and there may be more than one cause. I'll look the bags over better once my coffee kicks in. A contamination is not out of the question, considering I did thiese bags before I had a PC.

Do you mist throughout the day? and if so do you spray down the walls and lid?

If I am working I mist the hell out of them in the morning, when I get home, and before bed. Tub, mushrooms, and lid. If I am off work, I mist probably 6-8 times a day. I was avoiding misting the mushrooms themselves because I though they may get soggy but in the last 3 days or so, I'm misting everything. The bag that is in that FC, which I supplemented has tons of pins. Hope at least 7 or 8 make nice big fruits!

Not sure what is going on with these. There are some healthy looking fruits but at least half look like this. The last picture is where I cut a cluster off. They seem soft and spongy.

Looks like they are being eatin up by trichoderma mold. Is there green spores any where on the back side of those bags.

I kinda agree. They look a little diseased to me.  There's definitely some funk growing on the bottom stems if you look closely, probably mold.

Are you having problems with gnats or have you picked any and examined the stems/butts closely for mites?

Only saw one gnat in the room. No mites. I removed the sick looking ones. I have a few nice looking fruits still there.

I've noticed that my kings have a tendency to return to vegetative growth on the stems if they are too wet (I saw this more when I was running at lower RH and without enough turbulence in the FC. I think that is what the white fluff is on the stems, not mold.

I believe you are correct. Looks to me like mycelial growth.

Seeing a few more gnats. Man I hate those little fuckers. Most likely from the plants in that room. I'll have to add a bit of dish soap to my water when I water them for the next month or so. Seems to help control them in plants, but you have to do it for at least a month to get through a whole life cycle.

Not doing so well with this experiment. They just don't seem to do well. Slow slow growth. Soft stems. Yellowing. Few fruits.

I've narrowed it down to just about anything  Where do I start. The only thing I don't think it is, might be trich. Even then you can never be sure what's in the center of that bag. Could be bacteria (my guess), since I didn't sterilize. Could be too much water directly on the mushrooms. Could be fungus gnats, although I have seen very few really. Maybe blotch? I have taken a few pics of the cross section of the stems. There is obvious yellow, and the stem is soft.

Pretty steady at 63. I put a small fan in the room and will try to run it about 15 minutes, 6-8 times a day. I need to get a timer. Not sure what else to try.

Whats your RH and what are you using to read RH. When is the last time you calibrated it?

RH staying at 90-98. I just have a little digital RH/temp device. Not expensive, but I believe it's fairly accurate. After all, I just have a couple SGFC.

Can you drop the temp? I had trouble that gave me similar looking results at 18C, much better at 15-16

Sure, I can drop the temp to that pretty easy. I just thought they would grow a bit faster at 63. They seem so slow. I guess I'm used to the other oysters. Pinks grow so fast, I guess I was expecting these to be a little bit faster.

I have a photo of some mush that I harvested when the temp was too high (can't find it right now) but they looked like yours. They are slower than other Oysters but you're getting something of a far superior quality  My harvest generally falls between the 14th and 16th day in fruiting (at 15-16)

Looks like water spotting. I've seen this sometimes from casings or sub. that are over saturated or from to much moisture without proper evaporation happening.

Well at least I'm getting something off of these things. I made 2 of the supplemented bags. This is the only one that is doing pretty good. Now that I have a PC I should be able to get better results once I get another king culture started. I have 3 petri dishes with 1st transfer just starting to show some growth.
