I have tried finding a definitive answer on telling the differences before posting this but I am still unsure if this is mycelium or contaminated. I injected via spore syringe 5 days ago and am unsure of what this is, or if I should be worried at all. Please let a noob like me know what you think. Thanks!

It's really hard to tell because I can't blow the picture up, how did you post those photos?
-------------------- Considering spores can survive the vacuum of space, I would assume it's safe to say that mushrooms are on every planet waiting for the right conditions to present themselves. What it all boils down to, is aliens are on shrooms.

Try blowing them up now, hopefully that works. I posted them with the "forum" link on imageshack

Cool, the photos work now. You have nothing to worry about, that's germination. Pretty soon you'll start seeing white mycelium where the germination is. Everything's all good my friend.

Yes they all are appearing under inoculation points except for one of the jars it is appearing in the middle between 2 inoculation points, but the spores may have trickled down that path through the brf/verm possibly ?

Cool, there are small white spots already, but after seeing pics of cobweb around mycelium I was a little concerned. Thank you for the input !

No problem. You don't have cobweb. I am 100% positive of that. Keep those jars on a shelf and colonize anywhere from 71-79 degrees and check on them in a month. Try not to handle the jars too much, I know it's exciting, but you don't want to disturb the verm layer because it's your GE filter. The less you fuck with them, the less chance you have for contams. If you ever need any help hit me up man. Good luck!

I have read not to give them ambient light and also to give them some ambient light. Can you tell me which is correct ? Temp is around 72-75 all day long.

Yeah the light thing is very outdated. For instance I have 4 bags right now in my living room colonizing on a shelf. It actually seems to go a little faster with light, but barely noticeable. Either way the mycelium isn't affected negatively at all from light. Completely up to you bro.

Awesome, glad to know my concern turned out to be nothing worth sweating over. Was more curious if the light would hinder growth in any way that way I could assure they didn't get any. Thank you very much for the help!
