Arouras around lights, and people's eyes start to go googly, cars do a cosmic dance ;they look as if they are slightly shifting to a rythm.
aww yes the hum, a low vibrational hum that is almost ominous and hidden but also constant. Patterns start to form in the walls, and rugs with detailed patterns flow and morph. Sometimes English will start to just sound like pitches and flows almost like jibberish but briefly( if that effect lasts longer I am deffinitly in a level 4 trip)
I notice sernidipity, and seemingly real life bizzar events do not effect me they make me laugh or garner a simple oh look that's crazy comment.
Electronics act funky, questioning the meaning of everything also slight synthesia, moments of eternity, time may even seem completely meaningless.
Borderline shared esp,and shared hallucinations such as faces in the brick wall ect. A feeling of Euphoria the inner hippy really surfaces, if women are tripping as well, we might be holding hands and rolling around under the stars at that point. Yea that's a good level 3

I don't consider myself tripping until level 3 really, and at the same time, I don't know if I've gotten above it for any longer than an hour. Doses of 2-4 grams mushrooms are level 3 for me. Things are imbued with significance and emotional resonance they did not previously posses, sounds become distorted sometimes sounding further away, echoing, or tinged by some sort of guitar effect like flanger or multi chorus etc. Abstract ideas become more accessible and easily processed and generated at a rate too great to keep track of at times. Wood grains flow, become three dimensional, form faces, colours are enhanced or morphed, on lsd geometric patterns of great perfection and intricacy appear on virtually all surfaces, from grass to tree bark to the stars to a blank wall. Faces melt and change. People look like cartoons, monsters, lizards occasionally. Your thoughts and sensations become very strange and can change moment to moment, or catch themselves in a loop and circle around for hours. The simplest observations or hallucinations often become entrancing, and usually I forget to do whatever I originally intended during the trip. I almost always forget to check my closed eye visuals for very long, although they are often incredible, in that state what ends up interesting me more is the emotional resonance and symbolic power of objects and ideas rather than the flashy light show aspects. When you start to edge towards level 4 is when you forget who you are, where you are, what you are, or when you begin to encounter entities and voices foreign to you.

This is.. oddly accurate. I feel like you've articulated my favorite trips very well.
I often also see people without their skin, but with their muscle tissue underneath. Often there are also walls of faces all pressed up against each other, and trees always look like dancing figures to me. I also feel very sensitive to others energies. Ex), I recently I tripped with some friends, and I was convinced one of them had turned into a demon, while another friend (whom I'm very enamored with) looked themselves but radiated this orange and purple glow all night like a beacon. Words fail me.
Abstract ideas definitely become more accessible, as are you open to new ideas about the world and yourself. I always seem to have a theme for the evening that helps me conquer the night and learn some sort of moral lesson (like a childrens book). That particular night the theme ended up being "courage".

Like finding a hidden world that was there all along
I haven't tripped hard for almost 7 years now. I got into a really dark place in my life back then and had multiple bad trips. 1 was particularly terrifying but that was a level 4 bordering on a level 5 trip. One of the worst experiences in my life....a true living nightmare. The liberty caps I picked turned on me that night for sure.
Levels 1, 2, and 3 are generally safe and beautiful. Level 3 produces breathing effects. I remember one time in Seattle and all of the buildings were breathing in and out as I took each breath. Patterns will be seen just about on every surface. Sounds will become distorted. Sound is really interesting because I am extremely attuned to the sounds being thrown at me. I honestly think that quantum physics or something come into play. Time doesn't just seem to slow down, it actually does (for you the tripper). It is like you have more time to listen to each nuance of a song. Pretty much just a mesmerizing experience through and through. At the high end of a level 3, your mental state can become really warped and moments of true clarity, or perhaps insanity, can occur.
Someone said that abstract thoughts and ideas are more easily attainable. THIS is so very true indeed. What I also find is funny is that my brain and body become more in tune. Smoking cigarettes immediately becomes disgusting. Greasy and unhealthy food no longer seems attractive....etc.
I just got a level 1 -2 over this last weekend. I usually wait at least a couple months between each trip but damn it I love it.
Be cautious if you decide to dose past a level 3. Mushrooms are a key to many doors and some of them are very scary to open.

Music is the most awesome part of the trip to me. Psytrance feels so amazing, almost like a body orgasm.

I hadn't really considered the levels i'd reached. With DMT especially im curious in my classification of trip. I do believe i reached a solid level 3 with quite a "low dose" of psilocybin, in the form of fudge. (I just know i would never be able to determine exactly what amount of what sort of extract was in it..) Check my post later on about it, you might relate a bit. Edit~ With more consideration to the 1-5 leveling system i'd say a strong level 2 is more appropriate, but what would i know yet?~
