Artists don't deserve a single cent they have not earned. It's the nature of the game. I wouldn't waste my money that I bled and strained for to have a pretty picture, unless it was outstandingly unique. And insofar from what I've seen, 98 percent of artists are dull and numb.

yep, even if you want to live a minimalist lifestyle they won't let you...

i wanted to buy a yurt for like 4k, put it on a tiny piece of land and run some water/electric to it...but as it turns out, you can't legally do that ANYWHERE in the US due to zoning laws (they want everyone to live in the suburbs basically). same with those tiny houses, pretty much impossible to legally live in one.

i just wish there were more options than "slave your life away until age 70 & live in the suburbs (or some overpriced apartment)"
oh well

Go live in the Northern Cascades or by the Salmon/Chalis NP in Idaho, I bet it would be years before you even saw someone. Let alone getting busted for it.

i really hate bitching about this stuff though, i really do.
part of me is like "just play society's game, make some quick money, THEN get out of it"

the idea of professional responsibility just terrifies me though, it really does.
i'm fucked up lol.

we gotta get mad, if people didn't get mad about the bad, how would society change for the good?  we are a necessary opposition.  anyone who says otherwise is a tool.  i've seen too many people fall into a one sided position by overstating the good and writing off the negatives... but the truth is, we could we so much better.  i think it's important to recognize the good and the bad.

yea but on some level, i do acknowledge the fact that the whole "job" thing is only a problem for me because i've made it one.
all of my friends went out and have professional jobs. they have money and live "normal" lives.
i resisted that, intentionally....because "that wasn't me" and "there's more to life than money"

but i didn't do anything BETTER, that's the problem.
on some level, i fucked up. and i admit that.
i know eventually i have to go out and make a genuine living for myself.

it just isn't easy because of the past choices i've made.
easy to blame society or the economy, when in reality...i dug my own hole.

just my own personal situation...sorry if this makes no sense

depopulation is the only answer, the problem is food, land, water.  Everything is so expensive because there is so little of those 3 things, along with our corrupt kings that are sucking us dry of course.  If everyone had their equal share of those 3 things, and it was enough to live on, you wouldn't have to work.

The only reason you have to work, is to pay the corrupt government their corrupt tax's.......and because right now there isn't enough of those 3 things to be divided evenly to live off of, unless you chop down all the forests but then everything would turn to desert, and in another 100 years every city will look like new york and have new yorks stupid shitty laws.

anyone who cares about gun rights, look at new york and realize it won't be long until everyplace is like that.

seems that's what they want you to think, to further their agenda in gaining as much wealth in as short of time as possible.

should be illegal to replace jobs with machines at this point all it does is ship dollars oversea's for the machines, then the machines syphon money out of american's to the CEO's, who then horde the money and hide it oversea's

The machines are going to eventually be what saves the common person from having to work their whole lives  we should put more resources into 3d printing and related tech and work on creating decentralized community owned fabrication plants using that technology that allows more or less any common item to be created cheaply anywhere.

I don't care what they do... it's not how I live. I have plenty of hobbies and interests I'd much more like to dedicate my life to than working  But it's not so bad as it is, for me, I mostly do things I enjoy to make ends meet.

Ain't that the truth.

Carreers are a twentieth century invention and I don't want one.

We need to implement unconditional basic income.
I'd volunteer my ass off. Materialists would find a job to supplement the minimalist basic income. A lot more people will work part time. No need to create more jobs. Perfect solution.
