bernzo torches are awesome. they have a piece that will keep the torch on and it has a stand. so you can set it on the table and flame away.
you can see it in this pic. the black thing.

Yeah my torch will lock on if I make it, but there's never a situation where I need the flame going for minutes at a time. I don't wanna buy more butane.

ive had this tiny little bottle of butane for 10 years. it takes about 3 seconds for it to fill the entire torch. and it lasts months. love those torches. i simply click it in place, flame, then click it off. id assume those larger torches use more butane. this little guy is very efficient.
here it is in action.

Just wanted to chime in, I saw a few recommend a propane torch. I've always heard you don't want to use a propane torch indoors without proper ventilation due to carbon monoxide build up, especially in small areas.
I could be completely wrong, I'm just regurgitating what I've heard many times. Google "propane vs butane indoors" and a lot of people have the same concern.

Carbon monoxide the next big thing. The thing people don't know is that its more like suffocation over poisoning. Carbon monoxide (due to missing that other oxygen to make it more stable) is a lot more polar than oxygen (o2, which is stable). Thus our red blood cells absorb it more easily than oxygen. If there's too much you suffocate due to lack of oxygen.
I have done propane torch running for 3hours+ without turning it off in an enclosed room. I didn't get light headed at all. I do have a carbon monoxide ppm tester due to living way out in the country. I'll have to see what it says after 3 hours of work next time I do that lol

seriously.
Ever seen that George Carlin clip where he's ranting about how we can't do anything, and people are running around like chickens with their heads cut off for safety and cleanliness. Those damn germs!! They even swab a prisoners arm before giving them a lethal dose . Every time I talk about safety, I just want to show them that clip

I think that they are referring to heating an area inside with propane with no ventilation. Reddy heaters and "salamander" style of heaters. Just a small flame from a small propane torch isn't the same at all.

Yea a small propane torch isn't going to do much harm a propane heater is no good for indoors though.
I have always used a propane torch with a blue tank. No problems heats up to red hot fast and really if you are having problems with it tipping either you are clumsy as fuck and need to quit bumping it or else you need a more level surface which is the problem that im having nothing is level in my house lol. The green tanks are a little more expensive if I remember correctly.(I use them for my lantern while fishing) If you want a gas that burns super hot use MAP gas for your torch. Its the yellow propane tank that is sold right next to the blue tanks. Cost more and it may burn too hot for a scalpel. I know its too hot for a syringe. Ive melted the needle right out of the plastic tip using MAP.

If you have a baby food jar and ball of cotton you can make your own alcohol lamp. I see you asking the same questions in different threads, the best piece of advice I can give you is don't cheap out and cut corners or your never going to have a successful harvest. Mistakes are going to be made, there is nothing you can do but learn from them and apply it to the next go a round.

its not that I have issues bumping it and tipping it overs. its that I see the potential for it to happen. why take the risk??
This one noob the other day said he has a problem with stabbing himself with syringes all the time in the SAB. now that is clumsy

If it were a real problem every plumber who sweats copper pipe would be dead. Propane torches work great. If you are truly worried you can use butane instead though.
