Sounds like you already know the answer.
:ohyou:

Maybe like, a quarter ounce dry if you're great at growing cakes?  That's a highball estimate.

Over 3 flushes, with 24 hour dunks, I'd guess you'd get 6 to 10 grams (dry) from a 1 1/4 pint cake.  That's nothing to scoff at.  That's three to five 2 gram doses ...

.... I don't think the cake is 1&1/4 pints, I think it's a single, solitary, 1/4 pint cake.

If it is 1.25 pints then your guess is a bit closer, might get as much as 10-14 grams, maybe more than that.

I realized I was making an assumption :-)

(I wondered if you have one 1 1/4 pint cake or one 1/4 pint cake)

I assumed a 1/2 pint cake was about the smallest most people go.

I'd recommend waiting thru 3 or 4 flushes, if you can, so you have enough for you and a friend.

After a 24 hour soak, you should harvest your next flush in 5-7 days, so be patient . . . it will pay off. The subsequent flushes can be much better than the first.

I can only find 4 ounce jars and the half pint jars I can find are the tall kind so if I ever did cakes they would be 1/4 pint cakes, which would be pretty efficient really.  I went into the conversation already having looked at those jars every time I go to the grocery store for the last 2-3 months, so it was easier to assume that.  The latter would be a pretty big ass cake though, more than most people can get to colonize without stalling.

I used to use the little 4 ounce jars...quilted jelly jars. They worked fine for me for PF tek. They didn't yield as much, but they colonized quickly and worked out pretty well for me. I just made more cakes to make up for their smaller size. Now I just use the jars for Agar sometimes.
I only do cakes now if I'm growing out an experiment or clone.
