Ok so not the greatest pinset so far, but i'm pleased to see it working

I think we might have mutations as well, what are your thoughts?

Any ideas what might trigger that? Its difficult for me to get a good idea of whats going on not being there.

If it was multi-spore syringe its normal to see mutation!
Does the tub looks too wet?

Yeah it was MS, first go at this so I couldn't say if the tub is too wet or not (also i'm a fair few miles away from it ), it just seems to glisten with moisture.
I followed Damion5050's tek to the Tee as with water and that.

i would loose the top holes more or increase the fan intensity!
the tub shouldnt be dried or too wet...just glistening.
other than that everything looks good, good luck mate.

I feel your pain on missing the first flush. I managed to get a wall to wall flush on my first try that blew their spores everywhere. Black caps everywhere. At least your buddy is watching them I didn't have the luxury.

when they spread their spores, they signal to the myc to stop fruiting. you should beware about that if you want better yield on the next flushes. could be wrong tho.

So I take it with some the veil will break sooner than others?
Do I need to tell him to harvest before any of their veils break?
What if I need just one to break so I can get him to take a print for me?
Cheers guys!!

JUST before or after the veil starts to break.
Its ok for some spores to drop but not leaving it till it turns into a mess.
So if you want to print wait for the cap to be flattened a little...it might drop some on the substrate but still, it can gives you a good heavy print.

Thanks guys

Use a small scissor and cut at the very base of the mushroom, this will ensure the substrate doesn't get damaged.
However, most people use the twist and pull method, and don't have contamination issues, as the sub is very contam resistant, so ripping up some of the surface is not a big deal. It's the way I usually do it and have gotten 3 to 4 flushes off my tubs.

He'll probably do twist and pull, I've seen pictures where people have cut with scissors and it looks weird, does it still flush again good if cut? Anyone got any experience with that?
Thanks Guys

So here are the last pictures of the first flush before harvesting.

Hopefully I should get a picture of the harvested fruits to share with you all soon
Any tips on how to set up for the next flush?

So it turns out they were left overnight before harvesting, looking like this:

Turned into this

800g Fresh
Not bad for my first ever grow, despite the time it took.
Roll on flush no.2

Nice job man! I just started making pasty plates today for my next grow. Hope it turns out a bit better than my first one. I only managed to get a few once outta this tub.
