about storing DRIED magic truffles

I have never had magic truffles yet. I am far more familiar with magic mushrooms psilocybin semileceata. The latter once dried and sealed in little plastic bags last for ages, well over a year, and keep their potency. But I am not knowing if you can do same with magic truffles? IE if you dry them can they keep when sealed for as long as that?

I dunno.
I find them to be pretty dry already. For some reason the general public is pretty ignorant to these. So I would take 15g of them (used alt#7) ground them into chocolates (15g a chocolate).
They lasted at least 2 months this way before all were consumed.

you mean you can store all of them, shrooms and truffles, for longer periods when dry

Psilocin and psilocybin aren't going to break down at significantly different rates in almost identical conditions, like, for instance, the inside of a dried mass of mycelial tissue.

they are really hard/tough when they are dry, but they will store like dried fruits. just not as easy to eat as fresh. i've stored fresh in the fridge for a month before and they were fine potency wise (maybe a little weaker if u were to analyze them, but nothing u'd really notice on regular-higher doses). i had them in slightly unscrewed pp5, with kinda moist paper towel at the bottom. when i used a sealed zip lock, they grew mold quicker stored fresh.

Dried stones broke my coffee grinder they are seriously like little rocks. Really dense.
Fresh stones are better to have around imo. They can sit in the fridge for a while (they will turn a little white but they're still fine), but the way I think the best way to store anything is to make a fresh tea and then freeze it.

Are we talking sclerotia? Sclerotia is different than true truffles. But sclerotia will possibly store for decades once dry. I had some that was still good after 8 years

Yep, I wouldn't grow stones at all unless I planned to keep them around fresh. Basically just don't harvest until you plan to eat them, really, would be the game plan. They'll be fine dry but good luck getting them broken up. Nothin a good ol hammer won't fix.

Just make sure they're dry, and in an airtight container.
You should definitely try them fresh though.

The last thing I want is to break my teeth. my only experience of dried psilocybin is the little magic mushrooms and they are very easy on the teeth. This is not good news, because I like to microdose. So for example, take 10 little magic mushrooms kind of thing. Not stictly micro, more--whats that technical psychotherapeutic term...? Psycholytic or some shit. So MAYBE I better think about growing magic mushrooms instead? because they are much easier to eat when dried--all of the species, right?

That sounds like a very good idea!! How long does this tea last in the freezer would you say--the potency?

This sounds very interesting. For the benefit of me and others who aren't familiar with this difference can you summarize it? Is sclerotia drying as hard and teeth-unfriendly as magic truffles are though? How do you eat them once dried?

Hmmm just a quick question that's come to me. ONCE dried is there no possibility of softening them up in water, etc?

The potency would be however many grams to water. For example 100 grams of sclerotia to 1 liter of water would be a ratio of 1 gram to 10 milliliters. Dose from there. Normal dose is between 15-25 grams so 150-250ml of tea.
The tea will keep for a long time. I've only kept tea for up to a year though... No noticeable potency loss in the freezer.

You can boil them for a while, but it takes too long for my liking. Maybe pressure cooking them in a jar of water for 20 minutes would do the trick
