Habitat...PNW. The black spored one was in grass alone, and the other purplish spored ones in wood chips in clusters.

The first photo is Lacrymaria velutina.

The second photo is something else, perhaps Psilocybe stuntzii.

The Lacrymaria has a jet black print and the other has a purple brown print.

The third photo is Gymnopilus thiersii, also known as G. luteofolius sensu auct. PNW.  It is the only active Gymnopilus species on the west coast.  Print will be rusty orange.

Hey thanks for the reply. I can go back and get more pics, at first I thought it was P.Cyanescens but they just didn't look quite right to me (P.Cyanescens are the only actives I have picked, verified them on here so I am kinda confident id ing them because I have found a few different patches in different locations.

I didn't see the membranous blue ring or anything. They were in wood chips.

Ok I went back and took pics and noticed there were blue rings (veil remnants right?) so I took some of the mature ones. These are stuntzii right? Do they look ok to dry and eat?

They are Psilocybe stuntzii. The ones in the new pictures and the second picture in the original post.

Thanks dude! They look a little ratty to me compared to P.Cyanescens...still cool to dry and eat right? I posted the pics after I took them out of the bag, like I said look a lot rattier than Cyans after you pick them...

Also I like your username...one of my best trips of eating some then rocking out to tool on a walk.

Yes, safe-ish to eat.  No drug is completely safe.

I noticed that stunzii look like jacked up cyans. They are safe to eat if you are hoping to trip

Gymnopilus can be good for dying leather. Makes the leather UV reactive; pretty cool effect.

There was a blacklight cave at the last Nevada City fungus fair and the Gymnopilus were some of the best under the blacklight.  Super bright hi-liter yellow.

Are there other fungi that are particularly reactive under UV?

Yes, it is fun to take a bright UV light to a fungus fair and see what glows.

Some Russula species are pretty good - they have a red pigment that blocks the UV, but when the red fades they glow like crazy.

Some Cortinarius species are also pretty good.

Those are Gymnopilus in my opinion.
