Who the hell is so stupid they need years to learn how to use bitcoins and surf the darknet? You download tor, turn off java and javascript, do not click on any links you are not 100% sure of and voila. I just explained how to safely cruise the dark net. Now, to use bitcoins you download a wallet, go to local bitcoins, bitstamp, etc and buy some and there you go.

My fellow shroomer, no one is exempt from stupidity.
From my experience one has to have some advanced understanding of how to purchase from the dark web, including competent knowledge of PGP encryption software. All of the darkweb sites i have visited require it's members to use PGP encription software for all interactions involving trade.

I can only assume one quite naive, to think a novice or unskilled computer user could quickly navigate such a course.

Perhaps not quickly but are you talking about someone who has basic knowledge of using a computer? If so, they can quickly download tor, bitcoin wallet and pgp. Not all markets require customers to use pgp and some don't or they rely on the website to encrypt it for them.

So, download a few programs, read up on them, try them out. It may take a few days but not years. Someone who is good can get going the first day.

my fellow shroomer

Consider that even computer hackers and experts make mistakes that get them in federal prisons. It is my opinion that the dark web is no place for newbies to play

Either way, PGP took me a few hours to get down correctly, tor is dead easy as long as you follow a simple set of rules (such as, never download anything), and bitcoin takes about 5 minutes or learn. These things are easy. It doesn't take years.

If it was tracking it would have to send and receive information.  I don't use them but, I'm sure there's ways to track your computers outgoing and incoming data relay and track it back to the source..

At least I would think this is how it would work
The people I know using them have a lot invested in them, but they are all computer tech grads, I have won them in bets and they are always happy to do their magic and take them off my hands for cold hard cash....

Now a days though the Internet gambling can be just as treacherous as what your speaking of...

Takin that money and runnin'!!!!
But I agree, they only hurt themselves...

I tend to have lost that naive quality I use to have when I felt that human society had access to all the technology that was more or less at the disposal of the military industrial complex.

Without doubt, I feel that there is nothing :nono: that a human being can do, possess, or communicate that is not observable by the military industrial complex. What they can't get through technology they simply can get from a inside network of true homegrown psychics.

Edward Snowden was kind enough to expose some of that handywork by the United States National Security Agency (NSA).:uhoh:

I am not arguing that. Was just saying where there's a will there's a way... The MIC is always there NO matter what, I wouldn't even doubt if they had their own vendors there...

I too agree the DNM aren't places for newbies to play, but totally know what Stonehenge is saying that there are programs made so that ppl with low knowledge can do it as well, it's the scammers though... Them scammers take all yo money :shakefist:

Hey all the power to you, :dancer:

If you feel competent to ride the waves of the dark-web by all means go for it. :dancer:

Who am I to caution anyone who feels invincible to internet surveillance by;

DEA (drug enforcement agency USA)
Homeland security
IRS
FBI
Secrete Service
NSA
US Postal Service
US Customs

After all, it isn't like anyone competent has ever been caught and is spending time in prisons for selling/buying drugs on the dark-web

(Smiles....in my prior post earlier I said; "But for the average Joe, who does not want to take years to understand and learn computer techniques to safely cruise the black market is not a viable option)

a whole debate could be done of "safely cruse"

Then I guess we should stick with getting our goodies off the street since that is totally safe. No one has ever been busted doing that have they? I never heard of a dealer getting busted and then ratting out his customers, have you?

We have a choice of giving up everything the govt says we should not have or of obtaining it in the safest way possible. You have not shown any evidence that the dark web is more dangerous than doing business in person. The darkweb guy can't get you busted because you have no idea who sent that letter which landed in your mailbox. The darkweb guy is several states over or perhaps in another country, he is not going to pull a gun on you and take your money.

You have some very good points.  No matter how you choose to obtain things there will always be some risks and some rewards.  Each person will be able to handle different situations better or worse.  I know some guys that are extremely techno smart and would be comfortable on dark-web and I know some guys that are street smart and would prefer the black market.  We all know these things,  Fact of the matter is the safest way of obtaining something is on your own.  People that want something from you such as a thief,  police/info,  or anything else will come to you...  If you are the initiator or the producer you are generally going to exclude some of the risks we all know about.  -J* just be safe no matter how you do your business.
